Don't really want to go into details - enough to say it's in the trouser department, but I do hasten to add nothing requiring a visit to an STD clinic.
get the northern line to tooting bec, exit the station through the left hand side doorway and catch a bus at the stop across the road.
say "£1 please" to the bus driver
the bus journey takes 4 or 5 minutes. pass the athletics track on your right, and tooting common on your left. get off at the end of the common, and there's a big sign for the lido.
actually if you're planning to swim on saturday you might have problems - it was absolutely packed yesterday, and of course the chavs like to deliberately block your way
...i swam around them for about 4 lengths, then i thought 's*d you then' and went into mass swim start skirmish mode.

I'll be there friday, and I am hoping to do at least one more day
What happened, Dave?
weather's brightening up a bit, isn't it?
[whistles...]
lol
Was there this AM, t'was my first time :-) Gawd its a long way from one end to the other !!!
Prob will go down again on Friday.
have found it very hard to apply myself to swimming the last few weeks
I have been going once a week, but start the week out wanting to go 3 times!
ho hum that is life I suppose
As Candy will tell ya - the far end (furthest from the entrance) is the where we hang out and chat (oops I mean swim our arses off)
See you there
I will be there about 6:30 with my mum and girlfriend, in my ORCA speedsuit, blue speedo cap and mirrored (and completely useless) goggles.
right, who's for next Monday morning?
I'll be there at 6, till about 8.15
usual place (in the buoyed off lane down the opposite end from the entrance)
last one to get to 2 miles gets the beers in
bathing suit, yellow goggles. wil i survive with only this?
yesterday when i was at the lido, there were 200 people in cossies and only one idiot in a wetsuit
there tend to be more people in wetsuits first thing, but its still about 50:50. mind you i wouldn't like to be without one in the winter.
And I'm turning my notification off.

but you can use it for £3.90

at the deep end, its reasonably deep. 15 or 20 feet? not sure.
its so big that the 'shallow area' is bigger than most pools (its wider than most pools are long)
but i suppose £3.90 rental is ok.
