MWW - You should be fine. I have entered Halstead and they have a 5 - 5.30hr cut off time and my best is 5.20 and that was 2 weeks after Beachy. So I think I will be alright 2 weeks after FLM.
Good luck on the drive Bootsie. Roads were treacherous around Exeter so I heard on the radio, so take extra care. Take a shovel, hot drinks, food and extra clothes and have a thorough look at the AA website before you set off.
i did... everything is just saying too many incidents to report!! lovely.. dont have a shovel but have a blanket and lots of clothes and some food.. hope that will help.. can't leave until 4pm which isn't good but one of the girls need to finish work before we go
bootsie - hopefully things will have cleared a lot by this afternoon. Don't forget that discretion is the better part of valour - if things are really bad you might need to rethink 'unavoidable'!
Just more cold rain here - everything is muddy and horrible but at least things are safer again.
i dont know what that means slugsta but i get the jist! its one of my best mates hen do's so really can't miss it.. good thing is they are leaving from here first about 2 hours before me so will have a good idea what the roads are like before i get going
Luckily daughter #2 had her interview at Exeter yesterday and got there and back ok!
We're meant to be going up to Bath tomorrow, but will see how it seems in the morning - doesn't sound good at the moment. You can't go by train, bootsie?
It's been snowing steadily here for the past couple of hours and is getting nasty on the roads. The forecast says that it will be even worse as it freezes again later on. Bootsie, for heaven's sake be careful! I'm sure your mate would rather you were absent from her hen night cos you'd been cautious, rather than because you were stuck in a ditch - or worse!!
we are all heading down from the same location.. they are heading off a couple of hours before me and my friend so i think if they get through ok we will know its ok .. It will be a great weekend but banking on it taking anywhere up to 5-6 hours to get there
Sorry for the absence, things haven't stopped here. It's crazy times at Chez Delia! I can't believe how quickly the time flies.
So, Dumpling is 2 months old today! How on earth did that happen?! Mind you, he's slept through the night from around 9pm til 7am for two nights running so that's been a lovely surprise!
Right, can't stop, he's off again! Little monkey wants all my attention!
Helloooooo - late getting on here today, but nothing to report except that the plans for going to Peterbrough were dashed by the snow forecase, and received in Peterborough. Mum called this morning to say it was snowing heavily so we made the right decision. Just means that I now have next weekend to look forward to
Helloooo to you to Sheila - running in the snow is not something I would recommend. I have enough falls as it is without tempting fate.
What's with the "Dumplings" then Tracey - Delia been keeping something quiet or have you seen things we haven't
Just to think that this time last year you were not looking forward to running Brighton and had no idea of the impending Dumpling. How time flies.
Decided not to run today after all as it didn't look too hopeful with the weather, but hope to get out tomorrow for a nice plod. Rather than have any distance in mind I might just go out there and see how I feel. You never know, I might surprise myself.

Tracey - I did FLM in just under 5 1/2 hrs last year but would hope to improve on that!

Roads were pretty bad locally but have managed to get to work and all children are in school. Hope to run at lunchtime!

Glad that your daughter is home safely, Diana.
