O'Leary got it right when he said that only the top 3 could win the league this year. Although I can see Chelsea challenging us for much longer.
Spurs are developing into a team of thugs - the new Wimblebum anyone? Boro will be inconsistent as ever although their youth team have thrown a few players into the mix. And any team with Viduka in it deserve nowt.
Arsenal are on another level right now. Unfortunately I have to agree with Andy Gray (2nd time in a week.. ouch!!) who says it means nothing unless they can back it up by winning the Champions League.
And personally, I really hope they do.
GaryT - Flashes of brilliance followed by flashes of sh** - damn right - just about sums up our season so far. It's getting better every week though :-))
So, Andy Gray says that winning the Premiership means nothing unless they also win the Champions League, does he?
Sort of devalues the Premiership that, doesn't it? I wonder why then his employer Sky spends nearly £1 billion a year televising the Premiership if it's that useless a competition then?
I'm sure though that Spurs wouldn't regard it as a wasted season if they were to win it ('scuse me while I choke on my porridge) - in dire need of someone who can score a goal, they should have taken Franny (glass ankles) Jeffers when the Arse chucked him out with the garbage last summer.
andy gray is spouting the same old rubbish he did when man utd were winning the title.don't think arsenal fans need worry as long as their team keeps winning the title....funny how it always becomes boring once a team starts to dominate then everyone longs for another challenger till that becomes boring.
Morning guys. It's interesting looking at the goals scored columns of a lot of the teams and it makes interesting reading
Man u 9 Chelsea 8 Everton 10 Spurs 5 Bolton 14 Middlesborough 16 Arsenal 29 Liverpool 14
The big surprise is obviously Manu & Chelsea. How is it that with the strikers they have available they can't average more than a goal a game. Spurs & Everton are right up there and look at how many they've scored. Are the defences getting better or are the strikers getting worse. Exclude the Arse from this.
Villa a "proper team"? As opposed to the Champagne Charlies of Arsenal/Man Utd/Chelsea/Liverpool, I suppose you mean? No glory hunters among Villa fans?
Delusion, I'm afraid.
Villa are a European Cup-winning, established top-half of the Premiership bunch of millionaires. A club which has fans across the country. To claim any sort of down-to-earth realism on the part of such a club is the kind of thing that makes fans of Rotherham, Northampton Town et al seethe.
Looking at that stat Stylish I'd like to take back my earlier comment. I had said that Santini seems to be shaping up Spurz this season, but that was on the basis that they aren't leaking goals.
What I should have said is that Spudz are still sh!t.
Strange how Chelski have ditched their two strikers that can score - Mutu's either scoring coke or scoring with porn stars and Jimmy Floyd (they must be spitting). Drogba, Kesman, Cresbo, Gudjohns - what a load of sh!te.
Stickler, Quite right, and the level of Villa fans taunts on Saturday were based on the fact that they had won a European Cup (apparantly). I cannot confirm this was completely correct as the chorus had to be translated to me.
I think it was "Aston Villa won the European Cup, the European Cup, the European Cup"
yer right, but what was more funny was the sight of Lee Hendrie grabbing his c@ck in front of the Family Enclosure and mouthing f**king pr*cks to a load of young kids. The funny bit was the family enclosure's response of: "Get your mascot off the pitch"
and
"Tom Thumb, whats the score, Tom Thumb Tom Thumb whats the score"
snoop dog, as a lifelong utd fan, sneering at arsenal if they lose will be rather hollow as we all realise that it will be irrelevant.they are still the best team, and a complete team which we aren't right now.
AG - Ah yes, 13th November. I reckon Spudz are secretly hoping that the Arsenal can maintain unbeaten until that date and then turn us over in front of the SHL faithful.
I'm afraid TB that snoop is probably right. Even if we are the complete team there will defo be a load of people waiting for the day we trip up - its inevitable. It happened when you guys were winning evrything. The only thing we have in our favour is we haven't quite got the ABU (Anyone But United) syndrome that ManYoo aquired. Chelski have that one. To demonstrate the truth in this, can you imagine a neutral sitting down to watch a Premier League game and cheering on Chelski at the moment?
surely it can't be the loss of Nicky Butt that's caused it, but it does seem that there's a loss of cohesion in midfield.
I can''t remember the last time United looked so ineffective - dare I say a new broom at the top is required - ole red face seems to have lost the knack, and I'm sure the new American owner will want to pension him off as quickly as poss. next summer.
So how long do you guys think the ban will be for.I reckon at least 6 months myself. Rumour has it that Mourinhio ordered the test himself because he was pissed of at Mutu for missing the training session and because of his inept performances in the previous games.
snoop, it does look like fergie has finally reached that point in a manager's career when he can't see his mistakes and remains dogmatic to the last.it happened to many a manager;shankly, revie, clough even the great sir matt busby didn't rebuild after 1968 and the team went downhill very quickly. if i had a choice for a new manager my nomination would be steve mcclaren
You could say that Fergie wouldnt be in a job if he hadnt turned it around at the end of the 03 season, at the same time we threw it away. 3 years on the trot without the Prem tropphy at OT and he would've certainly been shown the door me thinks.
Rob, I dont think we should be suspicious. Chelski just signed 2 overpaid, coke snorting perverts.
Come on you Rs!!! QPR going for their 8th successive win tonight.
Gary: I salute Arsenal's current side and their brilliant run, but it's interesting that the mate I go to Loftus Road with has started turning up with his Arsenal-supporting mate because the latter much prefers the atmosphere compared to Highbury. He's even started saying "we" when talking abut the match. Worrying!
For anyone who want to relive the days when football was all about packed, noisy, excited grounds, take a trip to LR - if you can get a ticket.
Ha RC, I go to Loftus Road each season as I have a few friends that are QPR supporters. Not to mention accompanying my dad to the odd game who is a Fulham season ticket holder (not that they had much respect for the ground).
I haven't been to LR since you guys went up but must admit the atmosphere was always one of dispair, and you could almost choose your seat. "packed, noisy, excited" twas not, but I will check it out this season.
I think Arsenal fans should really sit back and think about how good the football is at the moment, and think back to sitting through 90 mins of a George Graham 0-0 draw. It really is fkg awesome watching the Gunners at the moment, the football makes the hairs on your neck stand up. I really wouldnt mind if we won, lost or drawn as long as the football remains as good.
According to ESPN Arsenal are the 3rd best club team in the world with Man Utd down in 14th - the stats only ran upto July tho so I expect the Gulf to have widened!

Football, dont you just love it?
you wait until the Arse do eventually lose a game - they'll be out here in their droves giggling like little girls at a sleepover.
"Mine eyes have seen the glory"
