drinks, i just stuck to what was on offer (gatorade) i stayed in hotel about a mile away (tulip) which was good to walk back to after race (altho i didnt think it at time, but my legs thanked me for it in morn) didnt do pasta party so cant comment, expo was good, picked up couple things there,i wasnt there long enough to recomend any cafes etc but there is tons!but this year hope to go for about 4 days to explore the place better, its a lovely place
i actually won a competition to go to this, so i was there on sat, and back on sun hence i didnt see a lot of amsterdam, will stay for about 4 days next time.
there WAS a 10k last yr, there were about 10 of us who won, i did the marathon along with another guy, 4 people did the half and another 4 did the 10k...
flights are really cheap over to amsterdam and you can even enter the race ON THE DAY! so you dont really need to go for a package, its easy enough to find the stadium and enter yourself
I have done the half for the last 2 years and enjoyed it so much I might go back for the full this year. Well organised and easy to get to from Britain with cheap flights with Easyjet or slightly more expensive but bigger choice of times with KLM (from Bristol at least). Train into Central station takes about 15mins and costs less than £3.50
Im doing Amsterdam if Im still working here ...... where to stay Id recommend Acro Hotel as a cheap but reasonable place to stay. I stayed there for six weeks before moving out the city to Haarlem.
I've got flights booked to Amsterdam for that weekend so I guess I'm in too. I've managed to persuade some friends to join in the madness so it should be a good weekend.
I know this is a bit of a stupid question but I'm looking for a fast autumn marathon and obviously though Holland would be flat - but is the course fast?
Comments

A gang of us are going over for the weekend from Sinfin Running Club (Derby)
I've entered and booked the flights. Bring it on. Ran London yesterday, hoping that Amsterdam will be much cooler!!
