A bit windy and chilly out, but lovely sunshine here. Decided to leave the mud andthe hills for a while longer and stick to the flattish road today. 10m nice and easy in 1.18.46 (7.52 av). Legs getting there Off for sports massage later on for a battering
Watched S4C coverage last night. All very atmospheric with good mountain shots. Plenty of John B and also jason lurking at the edge of the camera at different points.
After walking like a robot on Sunday, eased Monday, had physio on Tuesday and 1st run yesterday - legs feel fine and confident PF issue in check now! Got a very nice slate cheese board (+ vouchers) as 9th open overall prize, but texts which my daughter got from friends who saw her Dad during the programme was the best prize!!
Sorry I didn't get to meet jd (+ others) - although I expect to be seeing him amongst the sub 3 runners next year!!
JB- well done. Yes, hope to catch up with you next year. Well done on the prizes! A friend of mine was 2nd lady and she won a slate wine rack that she needed help to carry! Lol!
I put off the massage until today because I wasn't confident that I would let anyone NEAR my legs earlier in the week!
JB congratulations! Oh well, have to leave Waunfawr tomorrow after another epic marathon..will be back! Managed a 16 mile trot from caravan down to Caernarfon and Menai Straits to say goodbye. Snow on Snowdon!!!
Just popping in to say goodbye to this thread (but, hello to 2013 ). Went for first post-Snod run last night with club - six miles, which I flew round! Legs felt fine, energy levels etc all good, which was great ..... now why couldn't I do that last Saturday?? Anyway, enough wingeing, next race is Clowne Half and I'm hoping all my Snod hill training will set me up in good stead for that race. Are you running Clowne this year Brer?
After walking the hills of Snowdonia the last few days, I am now healed and am ready to move on to the new topic (2013). Thanks to everyone for the wealth of information and support. I actually had thoughts of finding a race for this weekend.
Hey Pete Thomas 6, it was terrific meeting you at Y Pantri! Hope you've been enjoying your Grand Welsh Tour. I can't make it next year but will be back for 2014 and maybe the Snowdon Race next July, thanks to Snowdonia Snail for the inspiration, and the coffees!
Not so fast you lot. I saw the S4/C coverage on Saturday. Jason d I saw you a few times during the race coverage (you were the only one I recognised). I thought the coverage this year was the best I've seen, with far more of the actual race and less showing the backgrounds of various runners. I wonder if the good filming weather had anything to do with it? It was good to see the sharp end of the race move its way around the course. I'm left with magical memories of an amazing weekend.
I still haven't posted my photos yet, let alone written a story. I'll probably pass on that anyway and let the pictures do the talking, hopefully sometime this week.

Just over a week after SNOD12, I managed to record my fastest 5 miler for a couple of years. Very proud of 33:57 at the local Frostbite League
It's gone a bit quiet on here. Can't think why.
Anyway, here's a story with pictures linked - from a slow one in more ways than one. I know at least two speedy forumites appear.

Lurid shirts. A dazzling scene in Padarn Lake.
