I was going to bike this morning but it's been very frosty here overnight, so I think I'll leave it for a few hours until these rural roads have seen some sun.
Ok chaps and chapesses - foam roller purchase question.
Am deciding between this one and this one. Who has used these, and can tell me what, if anything, I get for the extra £17 I'd pay for the Triggerpoint? Happy to fork out the extra cash if it's a vastly superior product.
Good swim for me this morning, did just under 36 mins for my mile, which I haven't done for years I think the kettlebells upper body strength stuff is helping
run late while no2 son id diving, then swim & bike tomorrow
I have a cheap blue foam roller, the trouble is with it is that it has gone soft in the middle so doesn't perform as well as it did, and tbh I haven't used it thaat much. The ones you have linked do look like they would be better in the longer term
29.1 hilly miles biked in 2hrs 14min (at least, I think it's hilly). Would be a tiny bit quicker if I could get the bottle out of the cage to have a drink without having to stop .
Got a question for you all. Strength & conditioning -- what do you do, and how much? I do some exercises in the house a couple of times per week, but feel it's nowhere near enough. I hate gyms ... but thinking about fitting a gym/weights session in on a Friday morning (and maybe a swim afterwards too).

I got a blue foam roller from my local sports shop for £10.
Nursey - they look fecking painiful!! I'm with Cat, cheap one from Amazon for me - which also happens to be blue - but does the trick!
Quick hour on the bike targetting some hills in prep for Blaenavon Triathlon. About 15 miles inc 900ft of climb. More work to do...!
Rumour has it that the foam colours are related to the ouch factor - white/blue/black.
Nice bike Tim. I've heard it's a killer tri!

it'll come with practice nursey
I wouldn't bet on that Frag!
Nursey . as BBT has alluded to, the cheaper the roller the less density, I believe its the Fit66 ones that are quite good?
40 miles on the bike for me, 4 layers but it was very nearly spring
I have a triggerpoint Grid foam roller.... really hurts!
At physio at lunch time ... see what he says about my knee ... fingers crossed
Hope it goes well, Will.

in the off seasion i do a fare bit, mix of weights (high rep/low rest), core/body weight stuff. insanity etc
At start of program it drops to 1-2 sessions per week (Insanity type stuff) plus occational core work at end of tri specific session
then to 1
then non as i get close to my A race
I go digging down the allotment for a few hours a week
Back from physio: Patella Tendonitis, Tight ITB: exaggerated by knee hyperflexion. So not all bad news.
I have had treatment, Need to rest it this weekend but can still train starting from Monday
Plus I nned to look at wearing heals/lifts to ensure my knee is pushed more forward .... stiletoes anyone?
I expect Raf has got heels some to go with his skirt

Zoggs goggles a tad cheaper than elsewhere
A few odds and sods of clothing, not that many bargains that I saw tbh, dependant on what you are after !!
