DLR I'll let Mark know - he did really well about not being able to see the score for the weekend, although as soon as we went through the tunnel he was on the pink 'un in a flash!
Is that the worst unintentional euphemism I've heard in all my life or has Marathon Maus's Aussie state of mind been getting to me?!?
I was as pure as the driven snow until I found this forum...
Jimbob - no need to send the video, I've got it in Hi Def anyway - and I thought the same about you for the angles.
If anyone is not technically challenged then you may be interested in knowing that when you view your video online it actually downloads into your temporary Internet files. If you set your flash player settings to allow it to use as much space as it needs then it will place the entire clip on your machine. The file will be in an mp4 format and can be viewed using media player or pretty much anything else.
I've actually paid for my video too - as I wasn't sure that they would block this approach this year. But I think that all that this will do will be to deliver all of my clips in a single file.
So, don't worry if you didn't pay for your video, it is still available
Racing Jules - I'll add you to the list and update later. Thanks for your details.
Hooray! Just seen my finishing video. Even after months out and encumbered by a rucksack, hoody and carrying a jacket I look the freshest of the lot...AND I seem to have pulled!
A little off topic but about this time last year some of us decided to try and shift a bit of weight - with varied success ( ) but if anyone is doing the same this year I can heartily recommend www.myfitnesspal.com as it's free, simple, has a good food database. I logged my food/drink intake while in Paris and was happy to find I'd lost another 0.4kg while there
Dear lord TD would you ever delete that shot of my arse??!
To my shame, I deliberately distorted the perspective via the camera angle. Perhaps you would prefer other people to post here on the thread some balancing perspectives on what your derriere looks like/ feels like?
Jimbob - I know what you mean about the come down, I've got the blues with added dark reds and greens. So much so that Mrs O is threatening to kick my arse if I don't get on here and get my head back in the game.
I know I got a PB but I still wasn't happy with my time - which was mainly down to a poor feeding strategy - as identified by TD.
I've got races lined up but I've still got in my head how crap I felt in the last 10k.
The problem is that the only way that I can see to test whether I've got my strategy right is to get to very long distances - and this only happens towards the end of training.
Tried to PM you, but that does not seem to be working. Just wanted to say it was great talking with you and your wife and Weedy after the race. We didn't move around the bar too much as we seemed glued to our stools, but the great company made it a joy to stay put.
As you mentioned it's quite a task to search and find everyone in their finish to make the compliation. I thought I'd help you out a bit and save you some time.
RickJames, 32736, best seen in Finish LEFT, there are 2 medical personnel in orange vests on the left of the screen. I'm about to run in to them about 5 seconds in to the clip. Wearing a black top with a yellow collar and sunglasses on my head.
Fanfan, 53094, best seen in Finish RIGHT, she has the screen to herself most of the clip. Hard to miss. Black top, black pants.
Hope this saves you some effort. Looking forward to the clip. Sorry I was far to exhausted to make the "O" sign at the end.
If that photo doesn t make the cover of RW, my name s not Weedy...
Orbutt - don't worry about it. Yer mojo will bounce back all on it's own. No point at all trying to make an honest review of your performance or how to better it when you feel tired (I don't mean a little bit tired, I mean DEEP tired). Your Inner Chimp is the first one to rattle the cage when it gets tired and tried to blame you for what happened. Take it for a walk then put your feet up.
Each new mara programme you complete, your physiology changes to become more efficient at fat burning, more used to the discipline of training. My advice for you is to see if you can find a few shorter races over the coming 10 weeks or so, and target a couple of new PBs, maybe in a 5K, 10K, ½ mara. The speedwork will make a great platform for your next mara prog.
You will improve. Surely and steadily. But good rest of body and mind is the essential ingredient for starting afresh. I've been told it takes about 15 maras to get good at executing on them! Tell that to the Chimp. BTW, did anyone else see DLR's fab new tattoo? Loved it.
Bad news: gramps died an hour after we left last night. A bit silly but I'm going to the UK tomorrow for a speedy visit to see my parents and aunt. I know it's stupid but when you lose someone - its a stark reminder of those that are still here that You've been taking for granted.
I'll try to be online but probably not too active.

Completely understood Emmy. It undelines to us that we're all mortal and things can change very quickly.
Don't worry about being on line!

I can't see them for some reason.
The only photos I have are from Corcorans and the faces need to be distorted to protect the innocent.

Big thanks to Orbutt for compiling the list - what an achievement (both the list and all our times!).
I think my face was distorted in all the corcorans pics anyway...

Tricky - some cracking photos.

5.3 down 9.9 to go...
Orbutt - I tried the video yesterday at home and just at work. it plays the advert. then shows 25km screen but no video. I am techinically challenged.
Thanks PC and Orbutt for the work on the lists
PC - I'll put you out of your misery with last week's film quiz. On the run in Paris? There was only ever one film it could have been...
...Breathless
Weedy - here's one for you .... ! TIG UOY . I searched hard for that one. Sorry I couldn't make it to the bar but there'll be a next time.
Emmy - Sorry to hear your news. Hope you and Mr Emmy are both ok (not Weedy the other one!).
James - It's probably that all your videos aren't on the site yet, same with the photos.
JamesB - yes it seems to take a while for all of the clips to be added, so that sometimes happens.
Have a look here though, you should see the advert and then your finish - this seems to be the best angle.
To my shame, I deliberately distorted the perspective via the camera angle. Perhaps you would prefer other people to post here on the thread some balancing perspectives on what your derriere looks like/ feels like?
Or i could bin the pic?
finally coming down from the natural high of Paris - and i'm feeling a little sad . VLM meet up?
where would you get such an impression! We didn't get sloshed the other night so what have you to base that on?
I know I got a PB but I still wasn't happy with my time - which was mainly down to a poor feeding strategy - as identified by TD.

Any advice on retrieving mojo?
