Which soda bread recipe? I used Paul Hollywoods a couple of weeks back - good but not quite rustic enough.
RR - looks like a pic to me? I still cant change avatar though.

So's this JIMBOB - who needs London? I live in London. I had a lovely time in Paris with all this crew and that's where i'll be.
London rejections/acceptance magazines came out about the same time as Paris entries opened last year. If they are run on the same date it wouldn't be likely to affect many people. It would be surprising to see two major cities host marathons on the same date that are reasonably close in distance.

oh dear - TD, you have a place in London al;ready? what will you do?
Gutted. Quandry. Mmm. I am in London via GFA and i think they accept times from within the last 2 years (at application time), so possibly i could ditch my deferral and still use my time from Paris 2012 to qualify for London 2015.
I think we'd all say that Paris is more than a marathon to us. I've been there the last 5 years and it has brought so much good to me... Of course, i could get off this semi-retired bench and start determined running again. That's an option, to quit being a pussycat and be more like an athlete again. Won't change this stupid clash of dates though.
Decided am going bribe everyone at work not to book that time off..........don't know what with yet but I am gone to get that time off!!!
Girls just home.....Guide camp is from the 24th-26th May, and I have from the 24th - 28th May off work as it my Saturday off and a bank holiday weekend!!! 2 whole days of no children...........what am I going to do??????????
Neither Paris nor London are going to back down on this. Paris for me - I had no intention of entering the ballot but after this year I would have loved to support London again...
Ooh, on the same day - I'm good, but I'm not that good...
My howies stuff arrived today, the Porridge t-shirt is awesome!
I've been thinking about going for London again but I've done it twice now - the support is incredible but the course really isn't brilliant - I can't remember who it was that put it really well, but it's definitely one to tick off and then move on to a more scenic race.
Also. Excited - I get my 100 parkrun t-shirt and jacket tomorrow!

Might be a quieter thread next year
Ooh look - pictures . And bold. And italics. But still no links .
Oh . No pictures then.
Yes pictures! But now no edit! Don't mind me, I'm just chatting to myself...

Make that 3 major cities (if you count Vienna)

My wife (if still together after last night's effort) and kids are looking forward to a week in Paris. So I is on the plane.
If I can manage hols, I will be in Paris.........If I canna get hols I will be
Paris Baby!
TD - yes, GFA lasts for 2 years at the moment, unless they mess with that. Paris for me, definitely, either running or supporting.

In all the mayhem, I forgot to say I ran tonight again........a hard, hilly 5 miles @ 'MP'(or what I hope to be!!!)
Fudging hell! This same day thing sucks.

TD - that's a tough one. Could you defer again?
I've got a spare copy of L'Equippe with everyone's results in from this year if anyone didn't get a copy. Message me if you want it.
I have one too. It's nicer than Weedy's
I'm entering the VLM ballot on the understanding that, if successful, I will defer my entry until the following year.
Paris for me but it really sounds a bit dumb to have Paris and London on the same date.
Mine came from the Latin Quarter
Now theres an idea!!
Aye and mine came from Le Marais so it swings both ways....

PS anyone else not getting e-mail notifications for the thread anymore?
I'm not getting emails. I don't mind. Saves me hours deleting them. Perhaps next years thread should be 'f london Paris 14 here we come'
DLR - class.
Weedy - I hope to be wobbling around Sunderland Sunday morning. Will be wearing my Paris Finisher t-shirt I guess...
