I stuffed a bit more in mine. I'm trying something new in the pool and actually had the strange and very new feeling of moving through the water.... hold the phone folks... This could be progress *touches wood*
My sock has a large hole in it and needs darning I have a very sore calf and swollen ankle well actually a cankle still away with work for a few nights and the hotel has a pool so time to get swimming and do some core in the gym
Swam a d did core work in gym closing up that pesky hole
regarding overgliding iaw total immersion i used to try and stretch right out when i got 1 to 1 coaching i was told not to do thst as it was effectivly introducing a non proppeling dead spot also my stroke rate was to slow i gave sorted these and am deffo moving quicker still brick like but a quicker brick
My sock is on and off and all over the place, 100 mile bike on Sunday, bailed the lake swim at 1K last night, really good track session tonight, trying to talk myself in to a long run early am tomorrow. Let's see how shitty the sock is then. Agreed on the stroke rate/gliding thing, speeded up enormously from almost backwards to faster than a standstill, which is where I am currently plateaued.
My name is Paul and I need to get my s*** firmly stuffed into my sock. My biggest problem is I have become fat and lazy. I was planning on completing my first ironman this year but due to numerous things, nothing major though may I add, I haven't even got started on my road to IM glory. I have good intentions but never follow through with them, until now!
I have lost a lot of weight in the past and now I it is creeping back this so now it is time to change things. I am looking into doing the Wye not Tri in Septemeber to get things started and also looking into IM Nice as I'd love to go with a large group to make it even more special.
Hope I know how you feel... I currently have nearly an hour (2 x 25 minutes worth) of stretching and heat therapy per day, 7 days a week, set by my physio
My summer aim is just to get something that resembles two normal ankles back like I probably had when I was a child, before starting training again in the winter!!
You'll get there GB. It seems to be the way, we only truly take onboard stretching when we *have* to. I do practice yoga most days, but specific calf stretches are something I'm just going to have to make time for!
I hope your ankles heal fast. Are you down for Nice??
I certainly am Have a marathon in March as well.... so telling myself to make the most and have a proper summer off!!
The annoying thing is that whilst I am being treated for an ankle which was the result of a bad sprain last year and several subsequent sprains... I actually have less flexibiity in the other!!

Yes, poor Wilson
I'm going to learn to do front crawl. With the breathing and everything. The swim is my weakest part of a tri.
I am also going to do more than one brick session before my next tri.
Wilson is laying here snoring I am in tubey grip and on Ibobrufen
No sock filling going on today then

What did you try Hope?
It looks like I've been overgliding, so I am working on that. I just don't have the upper body strength for a long glide.... it becomes a slow sink
Makes sense .... whatever goes on underwater, make sure its propelling you forward
I put an hours worth in my sock today .. that'll have to do !
my sock has a large hole in it too RBM - nothing to do but to suck it up and learn to love the gym.

Lets see what I can really do!
Nice will be awesome
Hmmmm... my calf did not like tonights threshold run.
I've been told off by my physio (who also happens to be my daughter). I need to put daily calf stretches on my sh!t sock list too.
Ohh yes ... and boy do I know it now I have 'forgotten' to do mine post Lanza
Back on the list
I'm going to have to try and set a specific time aside every morning to do it or it just doesn't get done.
I need to make stretching part of my morning routine really. Exciting huh?! (Yawn)

Physio daughter... very fortunate

Lol! She's just graduated so I'm making the most of her!
You'll be sorted by the time training starts.
Nice is going to be fabulous
Falling over when drunk again GB?
Sock stuffing:
Monday: Long run 70 mins + bike to work (12k)
Tuesday: Active Rest day (Bike to work)
Wednesday: 40 mins in pool (working on arms) + 47 min run home + bike to work
More sock stuffing will continue tomorrow barring armageddon! GB I too need to stretch and be more flexible!
Top stuffing!
Ive been to yoga. My calf is much happier!
Sock - stuffed - 18 mile run. Big nutrition chat as part of the university study I am taking part in, prognosis, must give up dried fruit. Hard work.
