Spin last night, being good this morning and trying this resting business for my taper. HC, agreed it is impossible to take it easy in a spinning class. RDC, I dream of 9 min miles being easy, at the moment that's the marathon pace I am trying to get back to.
How much is that in Km? You'll be having wings tattooed on your ankles next Chris
Good swim at swimsmooth sessions with MC - felt a little bit like the slowest one in the class (which I was ) but apparently my stroke is a good open water one and i have to work on my catch - apparently my arms werent wide enough open - gotta work on that.
Kate/Cat the monotony of gym work helps when you are at mile 80+ on the bike
If I get to mile 80+ I have taken a seriously wrong turn somewhere In all seriousness, there is a lot to be said about mental toughness. That's half the battle at LD (from my sample of 1).
Got full on man flu (which is obviously near fatal) lost my voice completely half way through a meeting i was chairing yesterday been feeling off colur all week and its caught up with me having a recovery mooch at home today gutted as i was due to cycle out to Dartmoor to watch the Tour of Britain finish
solution JFDI. ( swimming : tick, bike : kick up arse, run : kick up arse, weight : picture xxxl into l monaco/short combo. no. not pretty - put the carbs down. )
My name is Running Postie, I'm gonna seriously get my sh*t in one sock! that shit being......crap at swimming as the shoulder is still knackered! I aim to do a proper strength training programme that the physio did say I had to do ( does anyone actually do what the physio terrorist say?) and swim at least twice a week. Ummm what else....I could do will losing some body fat, does anyone want some?
Cant get much in my sock as its all stuck together with........ Mucus still managing to crosk and cough my way through the 100 squat challenge so all is not lost
I fell off the rails this week. Three meals out, Wednesdays training was canned in favour of a sports massage and yesterday evening I decided to clean my bike rather than go out on it.
Back on the wagon from today - park run and gym today followed by a good ride out on my (clean) bike tomorrow.
As as an aside I can confirm that cleaning a bike in the bathroom results in the bathroom needing a thorough cleaning afterwards.
Little runwith a bit of fast stuff, and short swim, now off to pack my gear and head to the new forest, gutted I'm missing ToB as it heads through my Surrey town this afternoon, can't believe I haven't got a wedding invitation. Postie, you can keep your exnap padding thanks, I have my own.
Had a bad couple of weeks with lack of motivation and frankly couldn't be bothered with anything. However I am now in a better place and in a great mood.
So with that in mind I shoved my sock full of my first ever OW swim It was cold, so very cold, but I enjoyed it so much. Myself and my girlfriend did a recent of the bike course, got our first ever tri next week, and then did the swim.
Feel so good at the moment. This exercise stuff is great!
Hi Guys, I should of joined in weeks ago! Well better late than never (I think), I need to work on everything! Doing Bolton in 2014 so need to build up to going long! The problem is that I play rugby and enjoy weight training! So getting the balance right will be a challenge! Any way gonna get my arse into gear and will update regularly.

Yesterday 8 miles 4 miles at 7.08 a mile pace. Today 8 miles easy at 9 min mile pace. Clotted cream and strawberry ice cream to celebrate.

Spin spun swim swum.
Whoever designed a threshold seated hills session needs hanging up with the guy who came up with top dressing.

Sock stuffed full of Ashead 10k this morning. Ashtead common was looking so beautiful we did it twice. (one for each sock)
Last long run done before Loch Ness next Sunday. Officially tapiring
New Forest Middle today, sock is very damp but overflowing with hard work.
wish I had done the cycle sock stuffing I had intended to do - today's sprint tri was made harder by not having done enough cycling up hills!
Socks definitely not stuffed but 8 mile XC race, gorgeous day for it
42 mile in 2hr 30 with COLT, followed by 20 min run done as a brick, good session,
last 7 days
88 miles bike
25 run
4 swim
