Glad I got out on the bike yesterday in the dry & sunshine, even if chilly.
Planned on and a hour and half but seemed a waste of sunshine so did 2.5 hours tackling two of the three biggest hills in the area. I'll save Cliffe Pyard for another day.
Walking in the rain today - shoot day. Four muddy hilly miles slogged out.
Town and surrounding area flooded so trail run tomorrow may be more suited to wellies.
Went out for a nice easy 2 hour cycle on a bright and crisp morning which quickly turned to a wet and windy hale storm with a full on sprint for home, I was smiling though but that may be the frostbite
Absolutely brutal bootcamp this morning and spin tonight. Hoping to squeeze in a Cheeky pre-Xmas swim and run tomorrow too. Could be worse I could be at Tesco! Have a Fantastic Christmas one and all and see you on the other side.
Did a steady 1500 meter swim this morning, doing an hour on the turbo tonight and then work finished tomorrow dinner until the 2nd January, so, hopefully some decent swimming and cycling, still can't run but getting there.
Hi have started to train for the outlaw next year ankles / heel a bit sore post running any stretch suggestions antidotes etc. I have a marathon in April so in the process of training for this. Cheers
Iron worm if you are heading for achilles problems then I would lay off the running for a while, lots of heel drops (not raises) on the stairs, lots of calf/heel/foot massage, lots of ice massage and lay off overloading that achilles in any way until there is little or no pain in the morning
Struggled on the bike today which is unusual for me no energy and lower back pain eating to much crap and slouching in the sofa. It's time to man up and get on with it fueled properly tonight with turkey curry
The Christmas festivities have been timely for me.... my leg remains troublesome... after a 3 day break partially for the hols and partially due to giving a hip flexor and quad pain time to recover, a 45 min run on Friday left me limping yet again... feels better today, but will leave it until post the Fink Monday rest day, and should be back in action.
If it hadn't been a holiday, i'd be feeling a lot more guilty!
lets be honest.... its all prep for an Ironman on my 100th birthday
Got out to do a quick 45 min run yesterday to blow the cobwebs away and wake me from my boozy xmas hibernation. Felt great running on the freshest legs I've had for a while and good to know my run legs are still there after prioritising other stuff lately.
Back in the pool tomorrow after the xmas shutdown.
Not a lot going on here after injuring my shoulder I managed a couple of runs and a bike ride or two then on Christmas Eve I was knocked of my bike with in a minute of starting my ride.Shattered the forks so have not been able to ride at all until yesterday when I managed to fit a cr'ppy set of forks and get the bike into the turbo trainer.
So turbo session and run today hopefully and my new forks will arrive by Tuesday (hopefully) ..........
Wishing you all a Great 2014 and success with your races and fitness goals

2 weeks off now, so should get some quality sleep in, and sort myself out nicely.
you need to start learning then
Buggered knee survived a bike commute today.... feeling a little more positive
1hr 45m on the turbo..... urghhh!
That's good going MC - i'm putting off the turbo 'till i absolutely have to.
Been for a run this morning, my calves are suffering a bit. Off for a swim later, hopefully drills that don't involve too much leg work.
Its a day for doing not a lot at all if you ask me ... which I realise you didnt

Steady 70 minute plod this morning, sloshing through puddles and jumping fallen trees. Good fun...
I read a few chapters of Chrissie Wellington's autobiography in work today - i'm exhausted.
Were you speed reading, and if so what zone were you reading in?
you mean i have to take my HRM to work too?
Hoping pool is open tomorrow morning for a quick swim.
Wild weather in Wiltshire so a pool or gym may look like they'll see me.
HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, A DAY OR TWO OFF WONT DESTROY OUR TRAINING.
