Just signed up for the Thames Turbo at the end of May Kate.
1lb off this week. A killer weights session which I loved and an awful threshold run which I did not. Then 20 easy miles on the bike to confirm my socks (legs) are indeed f@cked but fighting back with a whizzy zip up Box Hill.
Club Chaingang, lasted all of 2 mins before being spat out the back at 26mph so did an hour at 155-160hr, 19.5mph in windy conditions. With ride out and back, 30 odd miles.
Blimey. Swim lesson and run for me tonight, back into the lido tomorrow with the wetsuit, after a run and bicycling inthe promised heat wave on Sunday. There's a nice duathlon at the Top Gear track in Surrey at the end of April Cat, would you be mended by then?
Is that GFord lido Kate? Good to hear something other than running
By end of Apr I'd hope to be able to complete rather then compete. I still have hopes for my A-race long distance du mid May but suspect I'll be a DNS.
50 minutes 'easy' on a recumbent gym bike. I must have been very bad in a previous life. No such thing as 'easy' on one of those contraptions. Seat like an armchair FFS.

My Garmin never tells me to slow down Cat. Must be a nice feeling.
Actually it says HR TOO HIGH. YOU'RE GONNA BLOW! At no point during yesterday's run was I anything other than glacial!
I will try to get through the year without a tri. Don't forget Concorde Tri in Bradfield 10th August!

No Concorde for me this year, I've got a spot in the newfangled ride thingy. Damn clashes.

Good mileage Gaz.
Where are you being punished Cat?
A nice recovery week for me in the lead up to Spitfire. Most welcome though, the last PT session left me walking like John Wayne for three days.
Once we've got Spitfire out the way we finally get our weekends back for a little while. Next week will be the first Sunday 'off' since Christmas.
