We've had a lorra lorra laughs on the forum over the years - but I don't think we've saved the best threads anywhere ? So lets do it here - all your favourites that deserve keeping for posterity. One of my personal favourites -

What about the posts from D2D ? Did they go with her ?

This thread doesn't make sense because the OP was deleted from the site, he also got quite ill I think. Nevertheless even reading all the other posts brings it all back to life.
And then this one links to it by the end.

And then of course this one!! Except again unfortunately without the OP so a lot of it is nonsense - but very fun nonsense and all Dachs plates and cartoons are somewhere within the 10000+ posts. Scotch egg anyone?

Yeah Millsy I did know who they are but what I meant was all Tom and Samir (in the Team GB thread) posts are missing so you have to just enjoy the banter around their posts.
I've just spent (I was going to write wasted but I've been chuckling almost constantly so that can't be wasted time can it?) 15 mins reading through Team GB again (only covering a small fraction of the posts) and am debating whether or not I should just write off my whole afternoon.
Mike Rushton did his latest parkrun in August 2014 by which time he was back at 27mins ish.
The epic flounce where "David Falconer 3" went into meltdown because RW admin had blocked his IP address or something to stop him from accessing the site (because he was being a nuisance and kept hacking the site)
He went on a massive rant along the lines of
"Do you know who I am? I am one of the world's greatest computer programmers.....I have done work for some of industry's goliath companies and they have bowed at my feet....you can't defeat me by blocking my IP address......I scoff at your attempts to ban me from your pathetic website that looks to have been programmed by monkeys...etc etc...waffle waffle...."
Sadly, its been deleted, probably along with all the 'best' flouncy threads.
For the perfect combination of sound advice coupled with the best thread title of all time:

I think DF3 is still here, Pudge, just under a different name.
I liked this one:

That was a good one, Pudge.
Do you remember that bloke from the outdoor company (can't remember the name of it) spamming the forum and then his mate coming on and defending him? Well, I say "mate" I think they must have been in some sort of relationship there was so much emotion involved.
He went truly ape shit. I'm pretty sure he challenged me to a duel at one point
Pretty sure that one got deleted too, though
And Ricky Bennison. Legendary:

I had forgotten that one....it was brilliant and the guy took it is such good humour

No, wait, I found it, FLOODIES!

Raining Hands and his Great British Relay..
he went ape at me when I asked how he could charge people to run a leg, when some legs were on private land and what did the land owners think..
his emails to me are unprintable

I might have it saved somewhere..had me I stitches
Close second was the pheasant racing ..

Yep, He had a leg that ran over Frodsham and Ince marshes and along the A5117 past Stanlow at night
I pointed out that running on the A5117 at any time was stupid, let alone at night.
And as Frodsham and Ince marshes are owned by the Mersey Docks & Harbour Board and Peel Holdings what did they think about him charging people to run on their land..
screamy... your Floodies link has just wasted 20 minutes of my afternoon
http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/forum/health--injury/needed-an-ambulance-last-night/148347.html
and i needed an ambulance for a stomach bug....can i still run tonight
I don't get what you mean, Meldy me old mate.
Sorry
Samir Haddad complaining about people blocking the pavement, getting in his way.
"And then there was these two, holding hands".
... "Weren't f..ing holding hands after, I'll tell ya".
🙂
Ah Mike Rushton and Tom Chinnery. Insane aims, and wouldn't be told! Mike improved for the standard 6 or so weeks, then went backwards alarmingly.
Samir gave the impression of being as deluded as these two, but a lot of it was tongue in cheek with him, and having met him, he was a good guy. Bit unlucky with injury I think, but quite a high ceiling if he could get a proper uninterrupted run at it.
Davey F was a good lad deep down too. I think he quickly realised basically messing about with a website (some would say hacking!) and using your real name isn't a great combo!
