For those who did the breakfast run last year, how long did it last for the run + breakfast?
We ran it in about 35/40 mins last year. Depends on stopping for pictures, and the route this year looks better for sightseeing. The first runners will take about 30 mins and last people about an hour.
Breakfast is a warm up for the marathon drink stations! One long table and big bundle for food! There is plenty of food though.

And how many croissants do you get ? I think I'm more excited about the whole weekend, I keep forgetting there is a marathon in their somewhere. 2pm Next Friday I should be in GDN.
Apple Weather is now showing 22C! There is some rain due in on the Monday - so pack for all eventualities and enjoy the surprise when you open the curtains on race day!
Hi folks! Feel guilty for not being around here as it was such a massive help to me when I last did Paris back in 2014. Loved it then, it was my first marathon and I did it in 4:49, still my pb. I've done 4 others since and have a mad April ahead with Manchester on Sunday, then Paris, then Blackpool on 23rd. Also Liverpool in May. I figure if you train, may as well collect some bling. I'm in the pink pen and hope to meet some of you for pasta on Saturday night.
I'm also excited about tailrunning at Bois de Boulogne parkrun next Saturday. I'm the ED of Lytham Hall parkrun so Saturdays just wouldn't be right without my weekly dose.
Get ready for the taper madness / maranoia next week. I've been hit with it this week, convinced I was ill, had forgotten how to run long distances etc!
I hope the weather isn't what's forecast, but to be honest in the four times I've ran Paris I don't think the weather forecast has been even close to being accurate a week out.
if you want to go to a slower pen you'll still need to do it at the expo. Last year I wanted to go into the next pen back and they wouldn't let me, on the day. Mind you, I went right to the back of my pen and, as everyone moved forward to the start line, I was left with so much space that I could actually jog around in large circles. Didnt help, though, still ran out of legs at 20 miles.
Hello all, we are in France and the weather is highly variable. 22 degrees in southern Brittany on Thursday which is a long way above the expected for this time of year. I would suggest packing that suncream! I am not running (badly torn labrum in hip) and banned from running till after surgery, but I hope you have an amazing time, I wish I was with you!!!!
Well I've only run once this week and have spent today in bed running back and forth to the bathroom to throw up. Worried about not being able to run at all this weekend.
Eggy, I don't care what you say, I'm wearing my tiara on Saturday night.
Sorry to hear about the various ailments - we've got one more week left to get fighting fit. Lots of fluids, Katey, as Eggy said, better this weekend than next.
1992: I think it's early on Sunday morning if I remember correctly. You'll be fine to go there on Saturday. It didn't really bother me the last few km as it was all a blur at that point!
Paracetamol... I meantioned early about my doctor suggesting to pop a couple of paracetamols before crossing the start line and (in my case) 2 more at the 4 hour point. I have come across a very interesting article about paracetamol at this link,

Might have to pack my sun cream...
If you find it, please can you send it back.... i'm in desperate need of it...
Gregory - Casual dress for the meal. Wear whatever you want.
TT - Sorry to hear about your injury. Fingers crossed the operation is a success.
