You're right, Becca; it seems to have disappeared. No idea why. Very strange. Meanwhile, I'm trying to decide whether to enter SDW100 2019 - which would mean definitely NOT running Comrades next year. I rather want to try Lakeland 100 in 2020, and think I need to complete a few slightly easier 100-mile races first - and SDW100 would be relatively easy to recce... Decisions, decisions...
Re SDW100/Comrades Green Number. I'd rather like to work towards the Green number Club. My husband (who is generally very supportive of my ultrarunning, thankfully) can't really see the attraction of my running it at least another 9 times (8 more to reach green, then I would need to run it wearing the green number at least once). I do generally much prefer trail to road - Comrades is the only road ultra I've ever been interested in running - but Comrades is special...
Becca: yes, but without access to a time machine, 100 miles starting on Saturday 8th in UK does rather prevent running Comrades starting at 5am in South Africa on the 9th...
Lowrez says that his account has been removed without explanation. He has some theories as to why but I won’t repeat them here in case I get “disappeared” too...
This is more intriguing than an episode of the X-Files. I didn't have lowrez down as a master criminal. Hopefully he will be back with us shortly. Debra, difficult decision but whichever way you go you'll have a great time!
Bring back Lowrez and our Comrades 2019 thread!! i shall try contacting Runners World / Hearst magazines using the email address under the "contact" option, to ask for an explanation!
Debra, I didn’t use the complaints system as this seemed to be for complaining about content that is there; there were 3 email addresses feedback@runnersworld.co.uk, support@runnersworld.co.uk and editor@runnersworld.co.uk so I emailed them all to say that our forum thread (and friends account) appears to have been accidentally deleted and asked them to reinstate it..... I wait to see if I get any reply!
Here you all are! Very mysterious. i survived the OCC last week - fantastic week in the mountains. And one of the benefits will be that it’ll make Comrades seem relatively flat...
RR - well done on last week. Lowrez did post a picture of you crossing the finish line. Sounds like an amazing race. P.S. your hamster picture is back. I find peoples avatars come and go without any explanation.

I suppose we ought to give it a bit of time to re-appear before starting a new one...
Mc Hilly: is that the one under 'Editorial Complaints Policy'? Or is there another one?

Come on RW Towers. Where's our thread?
I take it that everyone has seen that entries open on Friday 19 October.
