Neither did I, maybe it's a new form of computer Virus (scary!)and yes I have had a lot of sugar, werthers original butter sweeties (very soothing on a sore throat but also make me slightly hyper!)
Well I'm still full of germs. Now on my chest, so me thinks a visit to the docs is in order. Honest, I can't stand another night coughing... Any one had a good run lately, I feel awful watchin people run past my house every night, but I think even 1/2 mile would kill me at the moment....
Mornin all, couldn't manage the full effort due to still feeling a bit on the woozy side, but set a training 10 mile pb on saturday of 1:19 (Though if I'd been trying for a pb and not still a bit chesty I reckon I could've had 1:15) And instead of the club cycle on sunday I went for another 10 miler which was slightly less impressive at 1:30... So, threshold run and yoga tonight, and I'm sorted.
Dooz - I managed to get through it without having to resort to antibiotics - I hate them! And, in fact, I will be going back to the gym for a gentle weights session at lunch time and tomrrrow will be my first Shamble in nearly 2 weeks - I'm sooooo looking forward to getting back to it.
2t - just be careful! Maybe just the yoga tonight......
Dooz - if your immune system is not that good, then I would say the last thing you should be doing if you are unwell is exercise! If you really feell that you HAVE to go out - then keep it to a good brisk walk!
Oh my word work is boring. No-one else is in the office, the boss didn't leave any wrok for me, so I'm sitting on my arse staring out the window. Well, at least it means I can nip off early eh?
I went for my first shamble in about 10 days this morning! Only about 3 miles! Boy, was it hard work - but it felt soooo good to be back out there and I coughed up lung!
Sorry Shamb, missed your post yesterday (heavy day in work) Didn't actually make it as far as the beach, but the walk was nice - spent the rest of the evening coughing... Got docs tonight and have started taking Encanacia (or however u spell it) so hopefull won't need drugs. Going to try the run tomorrow as it's only the cough now. Glad to hear you're back out there & up and running (excuse the pun)
Hi 2T - What type of yoga are you doin? I have a few DVD's - do you find it helps with the rest of the stuff you do? I used to do it in a class, but found I prefered working at my own speed, but time is a big factor...
Umm, beginners I find it stretches thew muscles and gets rid of some of the pain in them from the weeks training (I always forget to stretch) Apart from that I like it just cause it's an hour to relax and take my mind off things. And they do a cracking cup of tea that's imported from america afterwards.
2T - beginners is good :-), I never got much further, decided to hit the old Geri yoga DVD tonight (bit of R&R) Honest, don't laugh, it's a really good DVD... What type of tea!!!
Yeah - I heard her DVD wasn't too bad. Don't have enough security as a man to go into the local shop and buy it though.
Some almond flavoured green tea of some description. They used to sell it over here, but now only export from america. It's a bit of a pest as I quite fancy buying some.
2T - Trade secret - order the DVD on line from Play.com - dead cheap. The tea does sound rather nice. Just bought some green tea with lemon at lunchtime. Time to get the old bod back in shape (oh and healthy!)
I know what you mean. 15mile cycle and 7 mile run tonight but I really can't be arsed. Have however already eaten pretty much all of todays calories already, so I guess I'll have to eh?
Ouch! Ok first run after 2 weeks and I forgot to take it easy. Ran too fast and ended up walking after 20 mins. But god it was good to be back out there. Hip a bit sore but that will only last for the first week (old ache & pain, I feel a massage coming on!)
Good stuff Dooz - glad to hear you're back out there.
I'm not in top shape after a bike crash on last friday, little skin left on my shoulder and a sore muscle, but apart from that I managed 61 miles run last week. Can't complain. Still starving though.

Coughing up lungs is good for you - means your working hard enough
