didn't realise you were a mackem! not sure i'm allowed to tak to you given i'm from the Toon! I've always applied on line so if you applied with a cheque then i guess the only thing to do is wait and look at your statement. Frustrating though. I'm sure you'll have got in. I've applied later than this before and still manage so i don't think you need to worry. I'd give ita couple of weeks then email or phone to check.
st bernard-it doesnt take long to travel down-im staying in gainsboro[lincs]on saturday night before the run.Gainsboro to keyworth isnt that far.Its a 2 hour drive to gainsboro form sunderland!!!But i will be driving back to sunderland after the run!!!
mick-the trouble with driving after a race when you try and get out off the car at the other end, you sort off seize up a bit i find, did the asbourne half near derby last month took me about 2 hours to get there, that was with a pit stop ,so this should be about the same ,just hope the weather behaves.
st bernard-i dont have any bother driving back after runs.Ive ran in Blackpool, glasgow, mansfield, leicester, york,so far this year and ive been ok.What I tend to do is stop off for a nice cup of tea on the way home. You can bet the weather will be cold!!!
I put this on another thread a few days ago. Guess it should be on here.

Yes-I've just put in an entry for this one. Never done it before, so I can't shed any light on it at the moment. I live in Nottingham, so in about 3 or 4 weeks I'll go and have a run round the course to see what it's like. Might have a ride round on the bike before then. If anyone wants any info thereafter(or wants to run the course)let me know.
wouldnt mind running the course but I am quite slow (about 9 - 10 min miles) Also, am doing worksop on 30th oct. If you let me know the date mgit join you if you are slow as well and if I am free. There is another event that some of you might be interested in. It is a 14.5 mile run or walk from seagrave. The website is http://seagravechallenge.mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/. you wil have to cut and paste this link though cos I cant do links properly
Adding links You can make life easy for your fellow forumites by providing clickable links to websites you might mention. It might take a few attempts before you get the hang of it.
For example, if you put this in a forum post: Crisps are a runner's best friend It would appear like this to other readers: Crisps are a runner's best friend
If it's any consolation to anyone, I've had a long lazy lay-off over summer (last hard run in mid-May). Result, 3kg overweight, legs and stomach muscles really don't want to play the game. But they will. Like you say, only 8 weeks to go. That's enough time to put in a bit of base, then some speed on top of that. Time to get out there...
Training?????? Ive never stopped-running in the great cumbrian run this sunday[half].This will be my 4th half marathon in 8 weeks,so looking forward to a "little" rest before the turkey trot!!
john same as you,got injured in march started back running august just now coming back in to form ,by dec should be able to put iceing on cake, (hopefully)
Just entered, I was due to do Worksop, but that's looking unlikely now!
The race entry form says time limit is 2.30, although last years results show quite a few who were outside this. I think I should be OK with this time limit, but how "srtict" are they! ??

All you need to do is write
then (with no spaces after the quotes) the full address of the website you want to link to, including http://
then (still with no spaces) " and the text you want to make clickable
then
For example, if you put this in a forum post:
Crisps are a runner's best friend
It would appear like this to other readers: Crisps are a runner's best friend
Simple, eh?
In my first posting above I have created a link for Seagrave.
In my second posting the hard way to do links.
In my third posting the easy way to do links.
Hope this helps.
Forget section on adding links. Just use the link generator.
Only 8 more weeks to go.
I've got a cold and hacking cough at the moment so not been able to do much.
Same as always. Not easy, and behind schedule.
