Well that's just not good enough KatieB or was it because the countsdown stopped at the points the clocks changed that night ??
Damo - Well that is a bit of a 'how long is a piece of string question'. Suffice to say there would be a big difference between the first person and the people minding the car parks, who have to wait for the last competitor to leave before closing the gate ...... :-)
Sprained ankle on Thursday night and not been able to train since. Still a bit black and sore but am walking OK now. Will give it a go Tuesday night and see how it is. Still plan to hobble/run on Sunday.
Anyone planning to travel to Sandy by train from Kings X?
I understand they are having to run buses from London to Welwyn GC and then 14 mins on to Sandy by train.
May be best to check this out if this was yours plans.
I ran a lot of the course yesterday, and the road already has mile markers on the tarmac. No 8 has presumably been out with the green paint.
I hope that Everton FC (the village team, not the real one ... although arguably of a similar standard) aren't playing at home next Sunday. They were yesterday, and the road through the village was extremely congested with footballers' cars.
Been busy :0) I'm assuming that I'm at the 1 / 9 mile stage the same as last year, but our positions haven't been confirmed yet.
I'm doing signage round the course first off, then car parkage, then marshallage, so it can't be too far from the HQ otherwise I'll never bliddy get there before the race starts.
Banaman, hope your ankles OK, we can't have another DNS!
blinking flip #8, is anyone else marshalling as well? Sounds like we've got the easy option.
Mooey, Tracey - no hill, there are no hills in Bedfordshire, however a weird optical illusion caused by close proximity to #8 at 1 mile can make the road look like it's going uphill.

Glad I am driving up.

Must look my number up.
There have been matches taking place in previous years. Something to watch as you go past.
Tracey, Number 8 is probably in vocal training for some serious cheering/shouting on Sunday.

Tracey if you mean, where is No8 on the course, he is at 1 mile and 9 miles, at the bottom of the big hill.
