Rio - I've not looked at Boreham Wood. But am now thinking that Cardiff will be the hm goal. Pretty sure it's a chipped race so I guess it doesn't matter where I start. It would be preferrable to start closer to the front though.
Perhaps I'll let you organise the diary for next year now!!
too positive for my own good sometimes. can get a bit irritating for people as I can almost always find something good out of anything! Taken me a long time to learn but its easy now!
I'd ignore the one's with the half empty wine glass...
Mine is always half full...
How'd you find the place where you're staying, shame you're not going to the hotel I suggested as they do fantastic food. As you say it only one night.
Regardless I'm glad you're not driving down otd. Not sure what time I'll be getting to the start point..bringing someone that has to eotd so may be there for 9.30 or so.
Bike shop was expensive. But went there thinking I'd go for a dcent bike. Get more details and send on to you. Thinking I will go for a road bike and not a mountain bike.
Its got to be a road bike! A mountain bike will have you spending more time going up and down than forward!!
I expect I will get there about 10ish too. We can arrange a meet up!
Off now running in my costume tonight and off to London tomorrow going to a meeting then to wander around the embankment and give myself some positive talkings to!!
Agreed DB9; stressing about missing the start is not ideal! Then finding somewhere to park close enough that isn't closed off because of the run....
Hopefully we won't have those troubles for the Bunny, an overnight stay would mean putting the canines in kennels - they are going in three times this summer as it is!
So drive down otd for us, if we are early enough then traffic won't be too bad?

go for it then while you still can!!!
DB no excuse now you will have to enter or you might not get in!!!
put your name on the list and see what happens.
I'm being sucked into the duathlon and I haven't even got a bike!
bit like quick sand, once your in it its a devil of a job to get out!!!!!
But, if I'm not mistaken it's the tri that is sold out and not the duathlon.
Best I find a bike with a seat like my faithful NB832s....better cushioning than any thing you'll get at DFS..
I've called out to Oatcake for help on the Brizzle
Nice padded bike seats you can get from halfords!
This is what you need DB9 :-))

But you should be in Sales Rio.
Not something I had ever considered I would be good at! lol
If Bristol is faster than Cardiff just think how good it would be to do 1.30 there then DB!!!
But you're right. Again..
got it all then!

No trouble with the parking at the Bunny....practically park on the start line.
