When I ran last Wednesday, I was about 4.5 miles into a 5 miler and had to stop and hobble back with a seriously knackered knee. I have rested and stretched it since (I think it was ITB-related) and then decided to take it out for a long run today. I managed to do 8 miles at marathon pace without so much as a twinge, so all being well, should be able to go okay on Monday. Big relief!!! Mind you, 26.2 miles is a very different proposition compared to 8. Hope the missing sessions don't cause me too much of a problem either.
I won't be doing much this week either. Like Wolfy, longest will be 4 miles. Will probably do another 3 miler as well just to keep loose, do a bit of stretching and that will probably be it. I tend to have a couple of days off before a marathon.
Hope everyone goes well this week. See you all soon.
