Hey! Back from doing the 3 miles. Me and Sarah (from club) started at 2pm. Only just saw your last message otherwise we could have all met up! Let me know how ya got on.
It was very windy along by HMS Monmouth, and I spent the first half mile going sideways trying to avoid mowing over people - which is saying something really as I don't really go fast enough to risk flattening anyone!
Got to check with Nam cos my memory is pants, I think we were about 32 minutes - could have killed her when she took off as we filtered off towards the finish line
Not done the plod but it cant be worse than the Hay on Wye Magic Roundabout and I'm doing that a bit later so it'll be good practice. If I come last, I come last.... Not bothered.
Yes I did both... at the end of Pump, my friend (who is the instructor) said "Do you want a glucose tablet?" - which roughly translates as "You look like shit luv!".... but once I was on the bike I came alive again and had a storming ride, really strong and focussed... Dunno where that came from...
Yeah! good for you Nam. This year I wanna start doing proper cross training. Since I started doing Running that's all i've been doing, want to do other stuff to strengthen/tone up more.
That's how I got injured... giving up everything else that I used to do at the expense of running. I don't think I'll ever be the sort of person who can just run 6 days a week.... I get problems straight away....

Came home and ate loads!!
And it was AFTER upping my back weights that I remembered that I'm in the pool in the morning....
Bad move!!!!
Apparently I need to improve my "core" strength
Stop me knocking my feet together when I run (have a sore bleedy bit from doing that today)
My leg weights and cycling have helped loads with ligament strength and I have much less jibb from my joints which are better supported as a result.
