Its too late RD, there is no escape..........................
I'm pretty sure the off road very very very steep hilly 20 miler you did was harder than the nice flat marathon itself will be, then you can come back on this thread in a couple of weeks and tell everyone that it was easy and theres nothing to worry about .
I like the splashy water bit, just got myself a bike, first one in 20 years so it'll be a while before i enter any of those tri thingys. I like the idea of ultras though but i'll start with a mini one. I quite like the idea of doing lots of marathons, well I like the idea now sitting on the sofa, 5 years since my last one and 2 weeks to the next, I could change my mind but I've paid the entry fee so I'll have to do em now........
I've just got my bike for free off freecycle, its practically an antique but its been really well looked after and was a good one to start with. If I win the lottery this weekend I'll get the whole outfit of triuk, though I need a bit more work before I'll fit into the wetsuit, I can swim like a fish but look like a whale. I'm seriously considering the L2B.....if i can give up smoking I might have a chance of finishing before the cut off times.
Mmmm, duck weed and chips, duck weed soup, I bet it tastes like watercress .
A free one.. Nice.. I tried on the Suit that came with it... Not a pretty sight, to start of with I put it on the wrong way and took about 15 minutes to get it off.. Would like to fit one in this year
went surfing in cornwall with her family. oh and kids into wetsuits and into the sea. friend squeezes herself into wetsuit and decides she looks quite cool. skips along the crowded beach to family feeling like something out of an advert. reaches her husband who falls about laughing. she's only put her wetsuit on inside out!
Redhead - what start are you off on Sunday. Optician Claire has a friend who is on the green start, its her first marathon and she doesn't know anybody. Claire might contact you.
