But I have got a certificate (from the Guinness storehouse) to prove that I can pour the perfect pint of Guinness. Had to do a bit of training and a practical test.
I was a barman as well. Sadly the only girl I pulled was nicknamed 'The General Belgrano'. She was past her best, heavily armoured and could be sunk by a single torpedo .
In my first week of Uni I was introduced to someone who is still one of my best mates. the person doing the intro turned out to be the biggest drug dealer on campus but niave me didn't know that!
I've decided that after several years of inactivity in the running dept i feel i should get my middle-aged bum back pounding the streets ..And Dublin is my goal!
I'm wearing my lucky knickers today....should i start the thread? (having not had any luck getting to the race this last two years despite not starting the thread!!)
(Actually I can't find a date for it for next year....am i right in thinking it's the 26th?...also it's the 30th anniversary next year so that should be good)
That's too funny, I just remembered seeing a couple of wedding parties on Pinterest where the bridesmaids all wore different shades of the same color, and it looked AMAZING! I remember thinking how easy it would be to plan a wedding with a single-color scheme and not having to worry about matching shades exactly! And then you can also have them buy or wear dresses "off the rack" -- way less expensive! I think this seems like a great choice!

I also forgot about that certificate.

I used to be a barman, pulled a lovely pint I did. Tragically never managed to pull many lovely girls...

I'm hoping to do Dublin 09 also after no marathons for a couple of years....hmmmm....we'll have to get that other thread started soon then!
I'll leave the Dublin 09 thread in your capable hands GFB..I'd only make a complete hash of setting it up!
Good to be back.
AB
O no he's back!!
The bouncer on the door is letting his standards slip....
On teh subject of DCM 09 do bear in mind the curse of the thread starter. You can rest assured that I am not going anywhere near it!
I cannot possibly begin the thread. I plead diminished responsibility!
AB
Shall i do it? (waiting to be urged on!!)
(Actually I can't find a date for it for next year....am i right in thinking it's the 26th?...also it's the 30th anniversary next year so that should be good)
Go on GFB - lucky knickers versus the curse of teh thread starter!
(sounds like a 60s B movie, wonder if I can get it on DVD?)
