I suck my thumb when I'm tired. I was trying to get my daughter to stop because her orthodontist said it was absolutely the worst thing you could do in the world (after rape and murder) and she told him blatantly that she'd stop the day after I do.
I've got really good teeth. I'm an expert at not pushing on them. I'm allowed.

I also talk to myself in the car. That's allowed when I'm on my own because I can pretend I've got a bluetooth earpiece on. But when the kids are there and I forget I'm not alone they realise I'm mental.....
i have to check that the freezer door is closed each night before bed. someone left it open once and i think that throwing out all that food and cleaning up the flood of water left me slightly traumatised.
oh and i also check that the gas hob is off.(someone left that on once too)
and i talk to myself in the car - often to describe my next manoeuvre.
i consider myself borderline v mild ocd. tell me others check appliances too................... please
I do the right shoe first thing [and sock]. I talk to cash machines and the satnav [we argue actually]. I'm not often filmed for a cookery programme, but every teensy wobble I go out on I'm being filmed running solo from Land's End to John o' Groats and I give the film crew a commentary on the countryside around us. They don't seem bored with my 4 mile loop yet! Toast should be cut diagonally. Can't drink coffee from a china mug, but it's essential for tea. I don't and never have sucked my thumb!
I have to check the hot tap is properly turned off before I leave the bathroom, even if I know I've already turned it as tight closed as it'll go (I did leave it running all night once).
I also have a tendency to swear at inanimate objects (computer, oven etc) if I make a mistake whilst using them...
When I chop vegetables I click my teeth in time to each chopping motion.
I also check every electrical appliance is switched off. And it's the absolute kiss of death if I know I've switched something off and then my husband asks me if it's turned off. I have to get up and check even if I remember already performing the switching-off procedure.
Same goes for packing stuff for a holiday etc - if someone asks me whether I've packed something, I have to unpack everything to make sure whatever it is was included in the packing.
right sock always has to go on first and with running socks which are marked L & R I can almost guarantee that the 1st one I pick up is left which pisses me off no end..........

That's not odd, it's saving energy and making sure you don't have an electrical fire while you're out.
Odd is chanting: purse phone keys, purse phone keys, while you're getting ready to go out

oh, and i have to put my right shoe on before my left shoe. can be a bit embarrassing in shoe shops sometimes if they hand me the left shoe first

Wow that really is odd
.
I sucked my thumb until I was about 14 years old, and there's nothing wrong with my teeth.
I only stopped (despite my mother's nagging, foul tasting liquids painted on, etc., etc.,) when I wanted to grow my nails.
Current odd habits? None that I'm telling you lot about!

Definitely borderline OCD.
I reckon most people do the right sock/shoe first but does this depend on whether you are right or left handed.
The other thing I do which maybe a bit strange is that I alway try and sit on the train so I am going backwards it just feel better for some reason.
I talk to my dog and ask her questions! (She's great company!! but hasn't answered in words yet!)
I sing to the tunes on my ipod when I'm out walking/running.
We travel alot and even though I always keep all our passports in my handbag I take them out to check to see if they're there every single time.
Even though I have email confirmation of the hotels we're staying in I still phone them on the day to see if we're booked in.
