SARQ--Sorry! Didn't mean for it to sound like an excuse, i was just throwing in another factor. Another reason that i might have blown up is that i'm just not as good as at running as you lot. Sorry! Couldn't keep my face straight!!
Does anyone know what the session is tomorrow night?
8 x 600m - I'll have a bit of that. Felt that good today I could have run but took the sensible option and didn't.
Yesterday was a very useful and interesting experience having never run a 20 mile race before. Managed to stick to plan and ran even splits (negative split if you leave in the toilet stop at mile 9) and felt I had a bit left at the end. If I can repeat the formula at FLM that will leave me to complete the last 10K in just under 50 mins which SHOULD be achievable, even with tiring limbs. We shall see.
Incidently after I emerged from the tree after my brief stop I had a brief conversation with an attractive blond who had caught me up whilst I was caught short . 'Can't take me anywhere' I said 'Oh I've done worse than that already ! she replied. Slightly stunned I said 'Oh well better here than at London' . 'I've done it there too !' was the even quicker reply. Attractive as she was I didn't hang around chatting to her for much longer...
8.30am Rose Hill for 14 miles on Middlewood. I'll be running there and back so if anyone wants to join me from my estate (8.10) or the top of Shearwater (8.15) then feel free to join me.
Gbm. Yes. If anyone wants to get on the telly. Branhall park 5k. This Saturday. A chance to race in a t shirt boasting a humorous message about your nemesis and have it shown on national tv.
I'm actually marshalling at BPTT Saturday. Was meant to be there last Saturday but was controversially dropped from the list. I've had the last laugh though as its actually worked out better. Must get my haircut if the cameras are there.
Will therefore do Eric's Sunday run this week. Tapering feels good. Nearly there now.
J8 - I'm not sure! I wanted to do 18 miles with maybe 6 miles at PMP back along the MWW to Rose Hill. However if you're doing 20 easy I'll jog from home to meet you & NI at Rose Hill then probably turn around at the Squirrel.
Never comfortable running fast on the Macc canal. I'd sooner run the risk of having my testicles ripped off by a passing horse than be attacked by a rabid dog or even worse, muttered at by fishermen ...
GBM - Sainsbury's is 2 miles from my house. Why don't you park up there and run to mine? I'm setting off from my house at 8.10am not 8am and we'll be at Rose Hill comfortably for 8.30.
I think UB mentioned earlier in the thread that Adidas have some good offers at the moment. Just paid a visit and bought a pair of Supernova Light (one of my fav racing shoes) for £9.80 - even if you don't need any just yet you can't go wrong at this price. Others were lighter still such as the Adizero and Comp - same price. Not a bad selection of sizes at the moment if you get there quick. You will have to put up with lurid colours though (the norm for lightweights I guess).
mort - I have gone off the UTMB since I found out you don't get a proper overnight kip in a hotel with a bar part way round (just random crashing out on camp beds if you're lucky)

Anyone fancy a ticket for a talk about the history of Mancunian Football at M/c Town Hall on Saturday morning. I've got a spare.
Went out for a run today with no ill effects....fingers crossed for the rest of the week.
Can't run Sunday this week, got to earn some Brownie points.
So 8 o'clock at Rose Hill on Saturday morning if anyone fancies joining me,20 easy.
See you later at track
J8 - I might be up for that 20 miler on Saturday. How easy is easy? I'm not fully back up to speed yet.
Great times at Trimpell, well done Harriers
What about the Stone Roses reforming, fantastic
**Sunday Run**

Would have preferred the Sunday run as I fancied a stab at the BRTT but like J8, I need to earn some brownie points so Saturday it is.
J8 - Is that 20 miles from yours or out & back from Rose Hill?
WITGB--Excellent!!! I shall be wearing my 'Tony Audenshawe is a f***ing stupid c**t' t-shirt with pride!!
UB- Not arsed either way to be honest, you choose how you want to play it.
If you want to do it all from Rose Hill we could come back along the canal just to break it up a bit?

my latest crazy scheme is this:
Dolomites SkyRace
AM- I was in there this morning and all they had was 2 pairs of size 9 Adidas com(Light green).
Picked up one of them t-shirts for a tenner though.
UB- I'll run from here then and meet you at Rose Hill 8 o'clock
