J8 - when I was there at lunch time they had quite a few pairs of Adizero in different sizes although they really are track shoes or maybe 5k (they are BRIGHT however). I got the Supernova Lights in size 10 (you know that they say about shoe size!) and they also had some in 8.5, 8 and smaller and also some bigger sized, but no 9s.
Going to try a HADD type test tonight - about 10 miles at my predicted marathon heart rate (155BPM for me) - I'm confident that this HADD stuff is working for longer distances so will be interesting to see the results.
Called in on the way home from work and picked up a pair of the Adizero Pro and Supernova Lights (both were the last in size 12 )
The Adizero Pro really are bright. I've been running races in Adizero LTs which are a similar shoe and you're correct that really only suited for short distances or intervals.
Wouldn't have had you down for buying the Supernova Lights in that colour scheme though?
Daz- That looks like a great race, but I am now officially a couch potato!
Foxy- If you want to chat up female runners that don't behave like GBM and Isaac then you should borrow my dog. When runners pass us or when he can see them up ahead he insists on catching up and then running alongside them which then means I end up conversing with them. I was chatting with a very attractive young man on the canal the other day due to this, but of course I am disinterested as I already have my hands full with Gomez, Morrissey and GBM.
GBM- LOL- I would like to see you in the aforementioned t-shirt . I might come along and support with an 'Eamonn Holmes is a f** f*****' slogan on mine.
GBM/Morticia - do you fancy the High Peak 40 in September? We can do it for our 40th birthdays - no serious training and NOT racing it, maybe see how many others we can get to join in with us on the whole run or to join on individual stages - let me know.
Eric- GBM is my Autumn marathon schedule organiser. He will let you know if I am interested
Daz- I have just had a look at the race website. I see they are informing the Italian speakers that the race is on July 19th (which is the correct date) and the English speakers that it is on the 20th. I don't think they like us!
Eric--Thats a great idea but unfortunately i'm probably away on a stag do that weekend. That would have been perfect as well as, i don't know if you noticed, the race is 40 miles long and we are all 40 this year!
UB, most lighweight racing shoes seem to be silly colours. For £9.80 a pair I'll suffer the sniggers though, credit crunch and all that. An outing somewhere like BPTT would muddy them up nicely.
GBM, are you moonlighting as a carpet fitter? Running tonight and saw a van "GBM Carpets" and thought of you. You could advertise your services at BPTT - I'm sure there are lots of Benny Hill type double meanings that would go nicely.
Run tonight at close to HADD predicted marathon HR (153 BPM average). 9.26 Garmin miles in 57 mins 20 secs. Do I think I could have turned round and done the same again, maybe. Could I have done it three times to get to marathon distance, defintely not so work to do.
Am--Yeah, thats me! I was fitting a carpet for a mexican bloke the other day and i asked him if he wanted me to put anything under the carpet and he said 'underlay, underlay!'.
AM - I'm still thinking of doing Blackpool. It depends how the ankle is. I think this weekend is the last day for entries so I'll have to decide before that.
How Far - let me know; I'll be travelling the morning of the race so if you run we could car share (assuming you are doing the marathon otherwise a long wait for me after).
Minne - what's wrong with SARQ's shorts? Please ellaborate on the problem.
AM - I don't the the wait will be that long somehow. If I go it will be for the marathon, but after so long off I'm certainly not expecting anything special timewise.

Anyone else doing Blackpool half or full?
GBM - You're probably right. With London beginning to loom (only 6 weeks weft!) he'd knot want to be caught napping.
I need to get a gripper my training plan. At track tonight I felt like I was going to wilton that last 600m.
J8 - I'll be there on Saturday. How many miles are we doing on the Middlewood if you are running from home?
What time / TV channel is this Bramhall race on then?
Morticia - I remember that day when me and Sasha ran with you on the canal like it was yesterday.
Any suggestions where to stay in Edinburgh.
NI- 14 on the Middlewood way.
On leave today, got 14 miles in at 6 o'clock this morning.
Try and get a massage this afternoon once I've got all my jobs done the boss has left for me.
GBM - Don't tar me with your "we're all 40 this year" brush!
I'm miles away from being 40.
Great picture of the Stockport peloton at Trimpell
SARQ - think you could do with some new shorts!!!
PG - how was Scotland? You'll be glad you don't have to endure OFSTED anymore!
GBM - I ran 40 for my 40th - good way to celebrate!

Any one doing anything other than MWW this weekend?
