DDP - Windsor this year was my first ½, at first I thougt I'd just go for "finishing" but as the start of my 12-week training schedule approached I decided I wanted a "time". I aimed at 2:30 and managed 2:08 - no one was more surprised, proud and pleased than me......it's amazing what you can achieve if you believe in yourself! You don't have to aim too high - just enough to keep you focused.
Hey Welsh Poppy - it's a long way to travel for a half! I might try to persuade Mr T to do this instead of Silverstone. I do hope you haven't forgotten the Old father Time race end Dec - Mr T is sacrificing his footie for it!!!
My marathon days are over - only did one mind!! Mr T entered for next year in normal ballot having his debut this year so we'll have to see early Dec. if he gets a place. My running club marshall at the starts so if he doesn't run we'll be there marshalling!! Trust you are clear of flu/virus/colds etc. and keeping well? Actually Mr T is missing 2 footie matches to spend Xmas with my parents in Cardiff - bless!! And they don't even have Sky tv!
That is a shame-they are starting too cash cheques already....but mine have not been cashed yet!!! Yes I have started too build up training and I am back to 45-50 miles a week.
Yes thank goodness feeling really well at the moment.
How about yourself? and any races planned?
Back in god's country again then!!!
ALF: Always a little further Miles makes smiles. Progression
So glad you are running well, i can't imagine 45-50 mpw! We've both sufffered colds/viruses but we're ok now thank goodness.
Think next race planned is Brighton 10k Nov 16th. Haven't been training much lately various reasons, hate the cold!! Will put the effort in soon though, just trying to enjoy rather than endure now!
And if they put that bridge charge up at Xmas i'll be wanting a rebate from my dad!!!
