NI - Working on Saturday, sorry..pity you can't make Sunday,I could of shown you a couple of good short cuts in that section, Moorside hotel and Edale station.
yip, GBM & I turned out at Macc Forest GBM coughing up lumps as he went very hot/humid/still and lots of flies, but route never disappoints good turnout inc. huge no. Wilmslow RC not seen results, but heard that Damian Nicholls won by a minute from Simon Harding I lowered my course PB by a minute to 47:18 Thanks to mort for coming along to support
J8 - no worries, I'm going to be doing that section again sometime as I want to reccy each section twice. The first time I just want to make sure I can successfully navigate my way through the section and I'll worry about short cuts later. Once I've done the reccy you might be able to describe the short cuts to me but there's no point yet because I won't know where you mean.
Mort - that looks very interesting, I might end up entering that. I've got family in the area too which is a bonus. It's a nice part of the world to go running in.
TST - probably take an hour (certainly no less, maybe even 1.10) to get to Furness Vale so about 8.30am. We will be crossing the canal at the level crossing at Furness Vale train station.
ES - oh er that is early shall have to see what time I am up.
Mort - we did hadrians wall last year, some nice running, thought it would make a good long run for some. 84 miles I think, pretty easy to navigate until you get near newcastle, and it gets dull there as well.
Definitely can't do saturday and am doubtful about sunday now as i made my thigh much worse by doing some speedwork earlier (my punishment for getting ideas above my station!) I will let you 2 sort yourselves out for now. Have you sorted your camping out yet mr slug?!
I need to be back earlyish again so how about I run to yours, do about 10 from yours and then run home. That gets me 18. Could do the Boars Head route ?
Cheers Kwaka - ran through the 18 miles to 19.5. Felt pretty comfortable. 1st time during Chester training I've felt like I could go quicker and further.
NI - nothing aggresive, they must have taken it all out on you.
J8 eric - thanks for the run, I am with minnie, I need to get fitter. So knackered now can hardly find the energy to type. Sitting around drinking beer will give me plenty of time to think of a good excuse for not doing any gardening this afternoon when mgmt gets home tonight.
Thanks for the run, great to get out with 'others' for a change! Doing over 20 miles on MWW or Morrisons run is fine but when you run that distance with the hills it really is quite a different challenge. Still, reccie 1 of 3 for BS out of the way.
I have a Castleton (train to Hope) to Earl Sterndale (then run to Buxton and train back) reccie planned for Sunday 21st August which will come in at 22 miles and also an Earl Sterndale (lift there) to Hazel Grove (21 miles) reccie planned for Friday 26th August (5pm leave Stockport for approx 6pm start).

Give us a shout if you fancy midweek miles.
ES/TST & M6's- Thanks for the run, really enjoyed it,we took off a good 1/2 mile off the designated route to Edale
NI - The section pass the Moorside Hotel is shorter if you go over the hill and the field section to Edale station is much shorter too.
M6 - I have a couple of bottles for you, I'll bring them on Thursday if we are running.
DB - Great night thanks very much.
J8 - thanks, I'll definitely be taking those short cuts then.
You didn't happen to see any aggressive bovine creatures around Shedyard Farm while you were out this morning did you?
NI - nothing aggresive, they must have taken it all out on you.
