Smiffy...I'm in Herne Bay in Kent (nearish to Whitstable)...but I can travel to deeper Kent if necessary. I'm thinking I need to make some plan for winter rides or my legs will turn to jelly.
If you've got any rides stating within an hour of me (which probably would get me to the dartford tunnel / lakeside) then count me in!
My PC has gone kapput and I need to get it sorted before the middle of next week as I need it to work from home. Saturday is the only spare day I have to try to fix it
Thats a shame Schmunks. You are not destined to meet Dustboy it seems. And I was looking forward to deciding first hand who exactly who talks the most.
Bit gutted I'm going to miss this! Could do with a kick up the backside to get me started! I shall be thinking of you all whilst I wait in Falmouth for No.1 to finish his Uni visit!

So sufficient biscuits for 9 hungries should cover it then.
Just one thing guys, if you are not going to be able to make it, can you text or call someone you know who is going, so they can pass it on please. THX. DB
I'll be there. Just bought new tyres too - armadillos so shouldn't have a puncture. Thats if I can get them on okay and the right way round. Off to play with them now.
For the geeks amongst us it is telling me my system32/hal.dll is either missing or corrupt. I have tried re-installing it and the boot-ini file and it still won't work.
Hope you get your bint sorted Schmunkee and can join us.
My hubby has just announced that he's coming along so please be gentle with him cos I'm trying to enthuse him about the joys of cycling the Surrey Hills. At the mo he mainly bikes as a commute into London on a hybrid but has a racing bike that is hardly used which needs more loving care and attention. I've warned him that he will get some stick for having flat pedals (especially after turning down Dustboys offer of a freebie). He doesn't "get" the pirate thing at the mo but he'll have to get used to it as he's coming to Nottingham with me on 1st July. Not sure if tomorrow will help or not!
Dare I ask if there's a ride on Sunday? Cos otherwise I might try this jaffa cake one as must force self out on bike, and it's parkrun and then work for me tomorrow.

It's not a defo 'no' as I have the laptop as a back-up but I prefer to work on desktop.
And I have not ridden Barley since the Vit, I really need to get back on the saddle

Forgot to add, I'll be aiming to get there for 9.30 latest for faffing time. See you all then and big to Ferret for the mention of biscuits.
Hmmm, 10am pedalling means 7:30 to 7:45 set off for me.
Feckity feckity feck feck!
I am finding it hard to find any pros in doing this as 1) PC needs fixing, 2) 3 hour car journey and 3) approx £30 in petrol
However, there is the social angle.
Leave me to ponder it tonight and I'll let either Soup or Saffers know later
Right! I am canning swim training tonight to see if I can fix PC instead
Having problems! Have to format whole thing and now it tells me it can't find a particular 'bit' to carry on re-installing.
