Morning all. I hope that the world is treating you all well today. Onwards and upwards, repel all boarders and all that..... I'm off on another magical mystery tour of the streets (!) with Tiptoes this evening. no doubt we will be putting the world to rights as usual as we jog merrily along. That is unless Tiptoes makes me go nuclear.
Tippy / Eagle - I have to say, I would be tempted to be a riverside pusher as well - even at this time of year. Enjoy your street run this evening. How far?
Evening all. All is week we stopped a melt down. (Gingan ghoulie ghoulie) Bojit well done to mini. Speedy, (.. - -... , .... -) or if the PC is up and running hello. Limper we did a nice run by the river again, 10 miles for me and no doubt RE added at his end.
Ah Tippy darling, I will never catch you at Pompey at this rate. And I was so looking forward to those lycra clad buns of Eagle's! Of course I already know what yours look like and that's the main reason I'm doing the mara again this year!! My exercise yesterday (apart from some gymnastics while I was decorating) was a 4 mile walk. It was brisk though and involved a lot of ball throwing and resistance work as I waded through the surf. Don't think it equates to a 10 mile run somehow!
Bodj - hope there were no more surprises in the woodpile?! If it had been Mini that got the shock who knows what might have ensued!!
Morning Eagle.
Speedy??
<< goolie goolie goolie gotcha - gin gan goo gin gan goo >>
Morning all. Stuck here at work, I'd much rather be out on a jog with you good folk.
Those mossie bites from the river run last night don't half itch. Little b*ggers. Despite attempts from Tiptoes to provoke an explosion I am pleased to report that I refused to rise to the bait. He is a naughty Tippy.
If I spot you on your way back it won't be buns that I get a view of!!
The mozzies are EVIL this year aren't they Eagle. If I stand still for a few minutes I am covered in the little gits. Tea tree oil dabbed on (undiluted) is the best thing I have found for the itching.
I may take Dawg for a weeny runnette shortly. Nothing fast due to the heat (yes folks - it's actually HOT down here). I would go later when it's cooled down a bit, but I'm sure I've got something very important to do this evening... like slobbing on the sofa with some (un)healthy dinner.
Evening all. Have just been out for a 3 mile joggette, phew it was warm! Those mozzie lumps are throbbing, I'll go and hunt for the tea tree oil, there must be some as Mrs E seems to have most of the pharmacy stocklines . Last night's run ended up at 11 miles for me. Easy day today.
As threatened - a weeny jogette took place. The tide was so far out I swear I could have run to France. Or at least to the Isle of Wight! Dawg enjoyed herself and I did my best.
Well done on your efforts boys. What a fit and committed pair you are!
Eagle - you could get your trusty coach (Tipster) to suck the oogey stuff out of your mozzie bites. I'm sure that's the recommended way of dealing with them.
In the hope that he concedes... Tippy Tippy, look where I've been bitten...
Yipee back on line but with new lap top other one died. Well it went gurgle gurgle fizz fizz and then died. Was in twice for repair but shop said it swallowed too much beer and just couldntbe revived.
So I can get back to chatting with you all. Still on phone just now as at daughters Jayden sitting.
Awaiting immenient arrival of great grandchild who is now 6 days overdue.
Hubby got into London marathon so now it is very tempting. Going to caravan at weekend so I am going to see just what the knees can take and get this weight loss sorted once and for all.
Back later as I have to go build a tower with bricks says Jayden.
You and hubby seem to have the golden touch with the London ballot Speedy!
Dawg and I did our beach run again. Only a couple of miles or thereabouts, but betterer than nuffink. I lost about a pint of blood to the mozzies when stopped off at my stables... Tippy, pleeeeeeeese can you do something about my bumps?!
Mozzies - ouch. They don't bother me but hubby gets eaten alive.
Wil be 14th time for both of us if we do London Limper. My first marathon was London way back in 1989 so I would like my last to be London so it's a challenge. Next year is our silver wedding year so I have a lot planned. It's hubby's 60th as well so it's a special year all round. I guess we are lucky with entries.
Going to try Plodding at weekend. Watch this space.
What have you all planned for the weekend? Anyone racing?
I haven't got any use for flippin witch hazel Tippy. I want proper anaesthetic stuff and then I want you to deal with the ooginess that those blasted mozzies spit into me. << lays back on sofa and awaits relief >> From the mozzie bites of course. Tut tut, people's minds!
Only ever been bitten once when in Turkey by huge beasties when went to salt flats to see the birds. Bites were huge and so so itchy. Kept having cold showers on legs to cool them. So i feel sorry for you Limper if you are as bad. What about a swim in the sea - that would cool them ..... Lol. Sorry am I being horrible.
Having a glass of wine or two as it's our 24th wedding anniversary. Can't believe that 24 years ago we went to Berlin for honeymoon where hubby ran the marathon and I decided to start running.
Morning all. What a glorious English autumn morning it is too. I've just been out for a run along the Kennet towpath. Ducks, swans, herons, fishermen, dog walkers, fellow runners all out & about happy to be alive. Mist rising from the water, the sun coming up but not yet too hot. 10 FAB miles.
Not like the other evening when an *hole tried to run me down in his 'motor'. Tosser.
It's not fair all of you down south have fab weather and we have rain. Hope you are all enjoying it. Yesterday we had fab weather though.
Down at caravan till tomorrow. Came yesterday.
Plod was not good and really wasn't a plod. Knees kept making a cracking sound and kinda hurt. I had to walk most of it and just put in a few plodding steps. Going out tomorrow again. Said I would try this weekend to see how I felt so weekend ain't over yet.
Nozzles still around then limpet? Come up here and you wont have that problem.
Just been out in the rain for a plod. Managed a paltry mile but felt good. Walked and plodded it but the knees were fine. I actually plodded more than I thought I could.
So plodding has started now to tackle the weight.
Have you all got sunshine today? Send it up here please. One weekend we will come to the caravan and it won't rain - fat chance of that. I am sure the clouds hold their rain till they hit The Ettrick Valley and then dump it.
Afternoon all. Just been sunning myself in garden after a gentle 10k this morning at which, Mrs Eagle was chasing after a fox for some unknown reason, strange behaviour. RE's oldest eaglet came 3rd I believe and he looked good when he went past me. Now going to scare the neighbours a bit more.
Well done that Eaglet. What exactly was Mother Eagle doing Tippy? Am I missing something here?!
Speedy - I am one huge mozzie bite now. I am having to take paracetamol to keep my temperature down because the bites are making me feel ill and sweaty and the hotter I am the worse the bites hurt, so it's a vicious circle. They are the worst I have ever had (and I've had some pretty evil ones in the past). Sorry you are not having the lovely weather us southerners have got. Well done for plodding.

Stop the machine, I wanna get out.

Bodj - how is Mini doing?
Are Eagle and Tippy still out on the streets.......??! Eagles, did you go nuclear, or were you able to talk still??
Limper, she is fine, 8 weeks to go and huge I think she did her race just in time!
Ah, night in tonight as no meals on wheels to sort! Luxury
Speedy....is your lap top repaired yet???
All is week we stopped a melt down.

I think that I'll stick to the tree tree oil thanks Limper! The lumps are still large, hard & throbbing though.
Thursday night is run to the gym for body pump class then run home.
Have a good day everyone.
Now, I always thought vets did that sort of thing
<has another peek at Limpers bumps >
Well done on the jogette Limper.
Wheres, Bojit & Speedy these days, are they hiding from RE ??
