I like a decent Goody Bag although most of mine have been full of adverts and tat.
Hannahsmom you do like your Medals dont you. How are you feeling today? I was elated until people said that the course was half a mile short.Im gutted now.
well when i did mapmyrun it was 5.75miles, although i know that if i'd not run with the girl i probably would have done it abit quicker over the last 2k if i'd have known i get get an hour on my time, and besides those muddy inclines i reckon add half a mile to the course in time even if not in distance lol
Hannahsmom I did the Cannock chase 10k last week too! it was a tough race and with the added bonus of a hangover ouch! Good time, I think the fog helped as you couldn't see the tops of the inclines (don't like the word hills)
Is anyone doing the Snyed Striders 10 miles on 11th Dec??
Hi Kirsten , I'm doing the Pudding Run - it'll be my third time, though it was a different course in 2008 (and cancelled in 2009). It's a good 'un!
Road Kill, I arrived at the park run smiling again today, where were you !!?
I was there, Spence (missed a PB by 6 seconds), but didn't attend the Tea Rooms social afterwards, as I had a busy weekend planned involving several stronger beverages...
You should have been there, Yeti, it was quite a get-together! Lots of Birchfield Harriers, Bournville Harriers, Sparkhill Harriers, Cannon Hill parkrunners... even Margaret managed a lap despite her recent B'ham-to-Leeds & Abbey Dash efforts.
As my wallet was in my bag, which was in the baggage store, Chris is still hanging on to my dosh for me, or that's what he told me... I WILL see you soon, Chris!

It's a 30 mile Ultra along the canal from Stratford to Birmingham.
Normal folk can enter the relay team of 3

will have to find another 10k to do now won't we
what was ur time btw?
I did 54.25 official time so I am quite chuffed that I beat my time for last year.
We do a few 10k races for the Burton League and you can run unattached. I will mail you the list when we get it early next year.
Is that the Kingsbury 10k you are talking about ?
No more medals.....need something you can use rather than just xmas decorations
A regular at Cannon Hill park run is collecting 'Sox & chocs' for the homeless, she is then spending her Christmas day with a team distributing them.
She needs men/women/children's socks unwrapped & not novelty and a bar of chocolate
Any donations appreciated

Chocolate at work will stay there till the end of term to give it the best shot of making it !!
and as long as I don't give it to H to look after all should be well !!
One of the teachers give me a bag of her husband's old socks!! They might be homeless, they might be desperate but it is Christmas !! Tight bu**er!!
Shouldn't she be collecting socks after Christmas? They are the traditional unwanted gift, so there should be plenty around then.
See you later this morning?
Left without your prize ! I have it and can post.
What can I say - it was cold. It was raining. I had a lift. I was off down the pub!
See you same place next month?
Yeap I will be marshalling again next month so see you there.
C.
A cash prize, huh... does this make me a professional athlete?
I'm guessing it might cover this morning's beer bill, but probably not the cost of the new running shoes which arrived this morning!

It's a cracking race
RK, yeap but does that also make it taxable income ? You definately wont have any left
Looks good Steve, could be a bit far to drive for me but will put it in the diary. I like the look of the other races too
.
Got one, Spence!
Hope you're back to fitness soon.
Nice to see you this morning RK.
