Jellybum - I haven't, but am thinking about it for this year if I can get started on the training again. Just came back from a holiday nearby a few weeks ago and would be glad of an excuse to go back!

Emmy - There's the Zwolle Marathon at the start of October. No idea if it's any good, but it'll be a flat as a pancake and the countryside surrounding Zwolle is really nice.
I saw that Eggy. Have you done it before?
I've never ran it, but I have thought about trying to do it sometime as it gives me an excuse to visit my best friend who lives in Zwolle these days.

How were your weekends? I am sporting brilliant tan lines from the half marathon at Holkham Hall yesterday. I think I burnt my ears too.
So my race calendar. Is there anything half marathon-ish around end of July/early August? I know that's not the season, really, but I fancy doing another half marathon this year between yesterday's and Norwich in November.

Calling all London BUPA 10k'ers!! It's not long until YOU race Mo!
Due to the archaic booze laws of the UK and the 'huge volume of enquiries' at another place of interest, a decision has been made to have a few cans on a park bench after the race. Whilst meths and other turpentines are discouraged it would be lovely to see as many as would like to come for a wee tipple in the majestic surroundings of Green Park, SW1.
Therefore, as everyone finishes at different times, it's probably best to meet at the B section in the meet up area, having picked up your bag (containing some refreshments) from the bag drop, and take it from there....... It sounds a bit desperado but it's what we make it and will only be for a bit until the pubs open. I guess we'll wait at B until a reasonable time......11.20(?) before finding a bench/patch of grass/ or something of that nature.
Looking forward to putting faces to names and names to thread id's. See you at B
Oooooo... the marathon looks good! I have a sneaky suspicion that we are still on holiday that weekend though, otherwise I'd say yes straight away Emmy. I love running the Thames.
Will check with Mr S upon his return from his bike ride. You'd think it would be on the calendar, or even the online calendar, something as important as our summer holiday! I don't really pay attention.. I know what date term finishes (18th July) and what date I have to be back at school (1st September this year) and apart from that, whatever happens in between is fine by me because it will be with two of my favourite people.
Bupa pre-meet is by the B too. 9am before the big race. Watch out for the blue and maroon 3 legged stool flag, Blue tops with "where the foch is the finish" in yellow on the back and a few crazy faces
I'd be up for the half Emmy - just not fit enough for the full thing yet.
Today I have mostly been filling my face with sweet stuff.
Bearing in mind I am tapering, is this allowed or am I just being a greedy ba5tard?
