Not sure why I'm eating for England. I always eat/drink loads the day after a big run etc but cos I was ill last Mon I didn't then I spent 2 days in bed so hardly ate . As soon as I started to feel better I've done nothing but eat Its rediculous!! Its gotta stop soon or I'll never get round Cardiff half just due to extra weigh lol
Think I need to get some sort of plan together, my training is a bit all over the place, and it just wont do if I'm gonna attempt Bala next year.
As I'm not yet in a club, you guys are the best thing I've got for advice so, could you recommend any books or mags that would give me some ideas for training plans and eating plans?
At http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/ the have free training plans including 1/2 IM. Also make friends with some of the more experienced pirates as a few will be happy to mentor a newbie.
Not sure I will be up for Bala now Saw the consultant yesterday and he said I've got a 4-5 month wait for surgery and as far as I can work out I'm looking at about 6 weeks after till I can start running etc again (can prob swim before) so I'm not sure I'll make the training in time. He also said he doesn't think the surgery will sort my knee out fully and that its generally a bit wreaked so I'm gonna have to see how things go. I really wanted to do a half next year but Hey ho! Will come and scream and shout though and will just have to do lots of shorter ones instead
Just done a little brick for Sunday - 12m bike then 3 mile speedy run. Fell off the bike......again! That's twice in a week. I'm getting quite good at it, innit!
Yes, fell off the new bike....it's my own fault though.....!
I haven't got a picture of it yet, but will take one Sunday when I have it at home. It's pretty! My friend's new Trek is lush, all 2.5k s worth! Good job she has an excellent friend who she got it from for a teeny tiny fraction of that cost!

Sorry not been around this week - total chaos as its Freshers week and I really couldn't face putting the laptop on when I got home.
Hope you all have a good weekend, I'm working 8-6 tomorrow and hopefully riding the Cat and Fiddle on sunday if I can get rid of this heavy cold.

Just done 2 hours of spin and loved every minute of it. Was dreading it and thought I'd feel quite weak after Sunday but felt fab.
I just played squash - really badly I think Sunday must of took more out of me than I thought.
More training required then!

Be Iron Fit - is supposed to be good, must get round to getting a copy myself.
