So then, after much introspection I decided to go for a little jog to help clear the head. Perhaps "jog" is a little dishonest as a shuffle or perhaps an oscilation would be the more accurate description of my most recent attempt at exercise.
That said, 30 or so mins outside crawling along the canal has really lifted the mood. Still, bet I'm a grumpy so and so in a few hours time....
Goodness .. I think I might need to get my excuses in ready for tomorrow All hinges on me getting my arris out of bed in time to whizz the horse round the woods to be back home, eaten and in the pool in good time to be out of it before the schools pile in .. if not it will just become a long time trial with the time I have!
a 45 minute run for me as well ahead of tomorrows physio appt
It has got decidedly cooler here again today just when I was looking forwards to a nice bike ride on Sunday
Not much happening over here. Still Finking (how come I think of David Beckham every time I look at my Fink book?) for the most part, adapting as I need to. Had my first group swim training this morning. 2400 yards in about an hour. Was a bit intimidated at first but I'm glad I joined up. Also have the first race of our local Triple Crown of Running (horse racing reference for Louisville of course) this Saturday. 5K for the first event and I want to try for a sub 24. The ol' Doggy has inspired me. If he can do a 22:30, I should be able to do a 24, right? Right? Right!
Great running guys! About time I timed a 5k again. I usually do it along the canal towpath, might give it a go tomorrow (out on bike today hopefully, hitting some hills, though it's started p*ssing down).
The man flu phenomenon has been the brunt of women's scorn for years. But now one neuroscientist claims to have proof that men do have more to complain about when it comes to flu.
I of course will assume it's fine to interchange the final word in the sentance above from flu to cold at every opportunity.
swapped my days around so I have a rest day today instead of saturday, as I'm knackered this week. Am going to do a long swim tomorrow, though I am way out of Meldy's league
My plan says an hour run today ... but i am at the physio at lunch time and may not get it done ... may have to move to tommorow .. then move tomorows gym sysion to sunday ... and sundays rest day to today.

Had a good (for me) session today
- 50min spin - mix of easy and drills
Followed by
- 4k swim as 3 x 1k building plus 1k recovery
Fastest 1k ( the 3rd one) was 18:37 ... So happy with that
Had to work later today so meant i had to get up at 6am to do my 1 hour run
Not fun.
Drop into the Team Minni thread. There's loads of fruit cakes on there getting up at 4am to do long runs before work....

I'm sure you could whoop me on a 5k IY. 4am running spoons, sod that. Left the army to avoid waking up at silly oclock.
Going to try for a sub 22 on Saturday, never thought i'd say that. Mind you, the thought makes me feel a bit sick.
Was going to pace my daughter round but remembered she has the regional CC championships on Sunday so she wont be park running.

I am one of the fruit cakes - not on the Team Minnie thread, but in general getting up around 4ish to fit my training in - only way it gets done
For all those Man Flu doubters

G'day all
Easy day for me today
AM - Insanity session
LUNCH - 40min steady run
Quick hour on the bike hitting the hills. Pain in the *rse just going out for an hour in the wet ... takes that long to sort stuff out afterwards.

Sorry, Doggie, didn't mean to short you 27 seconds
Great minds Frag, I'm resting today and long swimming tomorrow as well
