Hmm, I think Kona is a good couple hours out of my reach!
What are the KQ times for F55-59?
Still faster than me!
I remember very well, on one of the longer and steeper climbs at Lanza, a bronzed and toned lady cycled past and thinking she was probably in my age group. But no .. on a closer inspection of her race number she was 60-65!
Sorry to report but I have deregistered. training just came to a complete standstill, done nothing for over a month and do not see a way to get organised to fit in the training. I'm fine, no injuries just that work & family have needed to take priority, I thought I might be able to find a way to balance it all but alas not. So back to the couch and weekend runs. Good luck everyone.
Sorry to hear that mate, it is a struggle i am lucky that all my kids have grown now but it can be a battle to get the time and energy there's always another year
Read the small print last night. Bit confused on this medical certificate thing? I have a welsh Tri licence is this enough or do I also need a medical cert from my doc ?
Yep for those more used to these exotic races i haven't got a licence so what exactly do i have to do/ get to make sure i can race i would hate to cock this up
Tbh with the cost of a oneday licence and getting a doc's certificate it would be easier to join the BTA especially with the insurance etc so i will get that sorted
Avoid last minute stress and read attentively the column below corresponding to your licence situation:
A - You have a 2013/2014 licence from a national triathlon federation
Add your licence and photo identification to your "bring along checklist" right away. During on-spot race registration (in the Expo Village from friday to Saturday morning), you will have to present them to the registration team.
B - You do not have a 2013/2014 licence from a national triathlon federation
During the on-spot race registration (in the Expo Village from friday to Saturday morning), you will have to buy a one-day-licence from the FFTRI (Fédération Francaise de Triathlon).
In order to receive your FFTRI one-day-licence you need to:
* Bring a medical certificate (with stamp and signature of the doctor) NOT OLDER THAN 3 months on the race day * Present a valid photo identification * Pay 60 € (cash or french cheque to the "Ligue Provence Alpes de Triathlon")

alink for anyone needing basic kit
Good to see the Paris-Nice race climbing up to Tourettes yesterday, lots of people pedalling squares
At least the pros suffer too !!
Tourettes was the highlight of the course ..... the language going through there was hysterical
Is it time to start training yet? I've not done anything for nearly a month due to life and injury! I think it might hurt!

Soz. I have a tri licence but that is what we had to do for the Paris marathon last year
Does anybody please know the answer. I thought the med cert is only needed if you don't have a home tri license. ? Help
You have a license timebikes. Max needs the medical certificate and to buy a day license when he registers.
If you have a licence no problem
No licence, get the medical cert downloaded signed by the doc and pay for a day licence
(I have a licence, and I'm still taking a signed medical cert)
Is there a link to download thus med certificate i cant see anythi g on the website

you can handilly get a doctors cert from a doctor at registration - for another euro30
so thats 60 euro in total for a licence and cert...... I just joined the BTF too for £51
how many weeks...?
.. not enough !!
You have 2 different options...
A - You have a valid triathlon licence
B - You do not have a triathlon licence
