Like this:-
Go to the post you want to quote and click the "Quote" button. It should turn red and say "Unquote".
Then go to your response box and click on the quote symbol (hover and it'll say "Insert stored quotes")
Bingo - success!

Once you have quoted...then place your curosr inside the quote and then use the normal way to delete..like so..

I did the York (Brass Monkey) half last weekend in 2:09 which isn't good, but like a lot of people was fighting off a virus and have never felt so tired at the end. Oh well - got round and the "man bag" prize at the end is great.
James - thanks. I tried that once and it wouldn't let me type my stuff outside the box so I thought it didn't work. In fact I just tried again and if I try to edit the quote BEFORE I type my bit, it doesn't let me type anything. But if I type my stuff first, then sort the quote out - it does.

Hi everyone
Am doing this race too! I am a bit apprehensive but I will give it my best shot, and the idea of mile pacers is a great one. I was wondering if anyone knew what drinks they give you on the course, and whether they are in bottles? I can not drink from cups (when running, obviously I can normally!), so was wondering whether to run with my own bottle.....or whether I will even need it??? What do you reckon?

it will be cups on the course and willprobably just be water so if you cannot drink from cups when running, I'd definitely take a bottle.

I think there was someone else on the forum said they were joining that group

Mrs D - don't worry. I was there last year (or maybe it was the year before?) and watched the last finisher cross the line. The timekeepers were still there. As Soup says, "It is unlikely that lightning will strike twice in the same place"

no my foot just gets stiff going to watch the blackburn 10k that i should have done a week on sunday
There's nothing worse than watching a race when you're injured. I once booked a weekend in Bridlington to do the half-marathon but hurt my back beforehand. Watched it start then came home early cos I couldn't bear to wait for the finishers.

Ive just entered! My first half...quite nervous now ive entered but thinking I will enjoy.
Works perfectly for my FLM training plan.
Has anyone got a good link to the official race start point/ advised parking places? Parents will be dropping me at the line
