Hi Sue - yes t'is me one and the same and yes it is my greyhound along with my labbie in the picture, on the beach a few minutes from my house. They're both OAPs now - 11 years old but still going relatively strong
Do you still have Gordon? It was you wasn't it who came down to do one of our races and your other half (?) brought Gordon with him? I remember having what must have seemed to him a rather surreal conversation but I could never pass a greyhound by without saying hello!
Len was hilarious last night saying Claudia wasn't dressed properly! I laughed at "it's got a lot of buttons"
I love ITT - we have taken to recording it and watching it later in the evening when we have time.
I reckon JEssie is in trouble this week, bless her for trying but she does look really heavy footed compared to the other girls. And how good is Cherie?? Wow!
You guys will have to keep me updated this next 10 days, I am in the US and can't get iplayer Might have to search out youtube and see what is on there? Have I missed anything good?
Yesterday Cluadia was wearing a spangly dress with a jacket over the top, black tights and a v. high pair of black shoes. Arlene and Nicky Hamilton-Jones (? woman from 10 years younger) both wore the same shade of pink on the Friday panel. Dresses for the girls look lovely but some of the music seems a bit iffy. Len Goodman said re. some of the songs: "I only like songs by people who have died"
well, have never been a rumba fan until tonight the fine Ms Lunghi biggin' it up for the more mature laydeee fab stuff indeed. thought Rachels quickstep was the best of the night - was disappointed with Christine's as I thought she'd do better.
mens dance was a bit of a [puts on CRH voice] disarrrrrrster - but funny nonetheless
dance off ? I guess Jodie and Heather (think Jessie will get the sympathy vote again) and prob Jodie to go, which is a shame as I think she's really trying hard.
I quite liked Christine's quickstep but not the music (once again the music spoils a dance for me, not that I'm any expert you know), The rumbas were all much better than previous series - how much previous dance experience does have Cherie have I wonder? I've heard she did ballet as a child but on the comment about keeping a good figure she advised people to keep dancing which suggests she has done quite a bit - or did I hear it wrongly?
I think Jessie should be in the dance off but I suspect her tears will get the votes in. So I agree Fraggle, it will most likely be Jodie and Heather.
Looking forward to the men joining the girls next week. Its going to be meltdown for the men I think; apart from 2 of them!
Like others i thought some of the music just didn't go with the dances.
Cherie, what a classy lady & what a fine figure for 56 . i could be her toyboy, but only just.
Should be Jessie to go,but who knows with Joe public votes.
Mens mourada,(muddle) whatever its called was a right giggle & muddle up, but fun, isn't that what its all about though, oh to be those guys getting to dance with ALL those lovely minxy ladies, John had a permanent smile from ear to ear.
Thought boys dance was dreadful - however, I didn't watch the VT before it so perhaps didn't understand what it was about. (watched at midnight and so fast forwarded all the talky bits to watch later and just watched the dancing).
Jessie was terrible, thought Jodie was good personally, Heather disappointing, Lisa very good (what legs!!), Cherie cold as ice (not a fan, I'm afraid).
Afternoon - couldn't really see how Cherie was so sexy but Jodie wasn't.....although I did think Lisa smouldered well.... However am all for Cherie flying the flame for more mature ladies as I'm heading that way myself!!
Loved the boys dressed up in rehearsal as Fame.....loved that series as a kid
Agree with those who said Jessie should go, she looks awful moving around the dancefloor, no rhythm and her dresses don't help (I know I'm being a bit Mrs Kettle to her pot but I'm not on the telly).
Jodie isn't great but Jessie is worse.
Anyone got any earplugs for the Simpy Red slot later?
I read the thread's comments on the men's group dance this morning before I watched last night's show on iPlayer and I was expecting them to drop the women at the end. I didn't think it was that bad.
Comments
Poor man, he look really embarrased!
LOL Travis - she did look rather sack like

like Annie Hall
Will do, TopSec.

Have a lovely time in the States!
TopSec - try the Strictly pages on the BBC web site It shows video clips of the dances. You'll get better commentary on here though! Have a good trip.

Why does Darren keep getting EastEnders peeps? Even Emma Bunton was in an episode or two early on

Think they were a little unfair to Jessie but she'll likely go tonight. She isn't good enough. They are putting her in pretty dire dresses.
Jodie has the personality of a plank of wood - and dances like one too!
*goes off to hide the Simply Red ticket*
Agree Bear - I don't like this two show format at ALL!
LOL Kazz.
Certainly was last year.
cme on let's get on with sending Jessie packing
Glad to see I waan't right with my "Jodie to go' prediction, as I think she's getting much better.
Poor Jessie did get such a raw deal with the dresses though - that last one wouldn't have flattered anyone who wasn't built like a stick insect
Two fab show dances - maybe 35 minutes padding!
Quite surprised at Len's comment on Jessie being better - she didn't look it to me.
Glad they didn't repeat the men's group dance - that really was taking the mickey doing that twice!
