Most of the 10k's round my parts (southern-central-hampshire) you need to be looking more like 32-33 minutes to be in with a shout for the top 3 spots.
Look up James Baker if you want to see the results of a man who wins a lot of the races I enter.
Really pleased with this. 5.33 miles in just under 36 minutes. On a slightly undulating course... felt hard throughout, but also felt good. I feel i'm well on course to a good time a week on sunday, provided nothing goes wrong.

Now now Meldy.
I've been meaning to ask you, was I horrible to you once on here?
You know I don't like that word Meldy....it seems quite popular on here

and prefontaine...what area are the small races getting such quick times...i'll make sure my tour of the country doesn't stop there!lol
all very true. ive seen 37mins come right high up the field in say 200-300 runner races..but obviously bigger the race the more qualiy around.
i know i have to get to 35-36 to be in witha chance of winning smaller races...thats the dream lol.
and if 34mins could be achieved then you'd be a very likely winner in most smaller 10ks.
