I got an L-size top (I'm an XXL!) and women's vitamins (which is all my wife got from the goody bag, having scoffed the drink and bars before we even got home). If anyone received an XL or XXL top would be happy to swap.
Signed up for next year's this morning. I don't do many races at all, but this one will be a yearly fixture for me.
i only seem to post every 200 mesaages or so, but i have painstakingly read all of your posts.
Well in the end i was really pleased with my run, considering i had done no running training at all due to a dodgy knee. I kept running the whole way and didnt want to walk incase i never got going again.
in the end i managed 56 mins with a sprint finish. when i turned into the mall and saw the finish line i just went for it. so if you saw a bloke in a green vest running like the wind on the outside of everyone, it was probably me!
I was pleased with my t-shirt, although it would have been nice to have the date on it.
well done to everyone who completed it. I found the spectators were absolutly fantastic and kept me going all the way.
I think your right about the t-shirt size as I got a large last year as well. But I did get well women vitamins and I am a well woman or at least evrything but my legs is well.
Okay, I got women’s vits which I gave to T-dog, and a L t-shirt which fits nice (unfortunately) so maybe it was a girl/boy bag. I see it as a freebie, with the entrance fee towards the organisation.... Lisa Edmeads Hello! Your top likes nice
Mr.K. Can’t blame you for photos.. think the slower runners are taking longer to develop
gmike Be careful of RSI
Essex Tiger that’s funny.. I thought you were a female.. although I guess that would be Tigeress? Didn’t see you but was focussing on the ground by then
Hey Maggie S hmmmm… think there’s a trick here to do with the breathing. One running buddy says in through the nose, take it in, out slowly through the mouth. Won’t pilates help the breathing? Oh.. keep going past 20mins, and then you’ll get a second wind Can’t find a run in Brighton that week.. might post a forum and see if anyone wants to meet up for one.. or is that risky? Meeting random virtuals? Hmmmm

think the t-shirts were one size only - and we all got the vitamins for men over 50... - not ideal...
ok TracyB .. I'm on nights tonight and hopefully not that busy .. be prepared for an epic

just waiting for my photos now.
I think it was a standard goodie bag but it might be worth dropping the organisors an e-mail.
I think it`s my fault the photos are taking the time.....they are too busy laughing at mine to get any work done
I thought everyone got a large top & vitamins for the over 50's (33 days to go before I can take those)
Tracy - sure you put your justgiving details on here but I'm too lazy to look back, can you put them on again or e mail them to me?
Where are these flippin' photos!
Has anybody else tried in the last 20mins. The link now works but after putting in my details it offers to e mail me when my photos are there.
No photos on the site yet, none in the gallery section either.
Put my shoes back on today, had to do 5k so I could wear my new t-hsirt, arf!!
Still find the first 10-15mins a real struggle, anyone got advice apart from getting a new pair of lungs?!
There is no way I could carry on a conversation at any point actually, I seem to be a bit of a gasper (hope that's not rude!).
TracyB, are u and others running a race in Brighton? I might be interested, even as a spectator if I'm not working.
