Hope you are all recovered. Thought I'll let you know I have booked my hotel for next year's LNM. Same hotel as this year as they really look after everyone.
Hi. Have been itching to run since BLM but one week and a little bit later, the muscles around the right knee are pretty sore and so best hold back for a few days more. At the time I seemed to dislike so much of the run ( this being my third in 8 years ) , as i could not train for more than one day a week due to injuries and recovering. But the mental strength needed was everything i had hoped for and as i look back on a 3:56 pb I realise how brilliant the day ( weekend ) was. In fact the worse part was actually the 4 and half hour Easyjet delay from Luton coming up to Inverness. Loved the rain and wind at the start, loved the sun from 15, loved the villages, the hills (not the down ones though) loved the support, loved the scenery, loved the B&B, the friendliness, hospitality. Probably won't do it again due to the distance and expense but was a great decision to do it in the first place and along with my other 4 friends who ran, we raised £18,000 for Ovarian Cancer which was the most ever raised for Ovarian Cancer from a running event. A huge "well done" to all that took part and a huge thank you to the organisers and support team.
Andrew it wasn't full but they have a cut off date for guaranteed entry which I think was 1st may this yr. After that it's charity places only I think.
