Chilli It's a long way but you get to play with the Trucker?
MrsDigger the groin is still a bit niggling and insignificant (insert joke here?) in turns of pain. I did a long swim yesterday so the pain has come back a bit this morning but getting better.
Did someone mention wine and chocolate! I'm in... Hope everyone's injuries improving. I've managed 2 gym sessions, a run/walk (up to 90secs of running now) and a swim this week. All good so far. Weekend bike and swim if possible.
This weeeknd I will be mostly pampering Sarah and also my mummy for birthdays and anerversary's I might go out for a run to but only if I can get out of bed.
MrsD - sounds like you are getting back on track. I am still on the sofa, trying to walk between the kitchen and living room without the crutches so I can carry cups of coffee etc but I wouldn't say it feels comfortable.
cake - hope sarah and your mum have a good weekend, sounds like you will be busy running around after them anyway
Sicknote you're going to be running better than me by next week. I have done nothing apart from a pilates class. Will try for a 2 mile walk later, with potential for breaking into a 90 second jog. At least I ran up the stairs earlier just the one flight and it felt great, but must not get carried away.
Cake have a good weekend, I expect your pampering to be first class, sure Sarah will tell if its not.
Mathschick, old fashioned tea trolley is what you need. My gran had one and used it all the time to save carrying a tray.
Hope to be able to go swimming tomorrow, not sure about Sunday as Mr Steady has a bad dose of man flu. I will either do a little run, help at a race or go and spectate at the BallBuster depending on the weather.
going to try to get to the pool over the weekend and swim with a pull buoy - only problem is it isn't actuallyopen much to the public over the weekend - which is rubbish!
And lot of man flu about Steady, hopefully it won't taint the forum! Good walking by the way... Should I be this excited about running for over a minute? I don't know whether tea trolleys come automatically with tea and cake Maths! Hope you get to swim!
MrsD - if running for over a minute is progress from where you were, yes, be excited about it and what is the point of a tea trolley without tea and cake?
I can run for more than a minute but not been allowed. Have a rehab programme that includes progressive walk/running. Hopefully by Jan should be constantly running. Just feels like a long slog. I see your point, kind of defines the name 'tea trolleys.
I am aiming at wild boar too well, and outlaw half and dambuster....I am counting on the training for outlaw half to get me through the dambuster, then it is a case of just doing a bit more to keep up the fitness/improve for wild boar. The only thing about outlaw half, is there won't be a lot of time to get some OW swimming in before....specially if it is a cold spring again
just been looking at the full boar website - was just thinking the sportive in April would be good, but we are coming back from hols that weekend - I have entered the sussex marathon on 7th April so doesn't really fit, damn, would have been good to do it!
Must find another spring 40/50 miler to do though, it would be good training for outlaw half
Was supposed to swim tonight but ended up curled up with a sparkling rose - a snip at £3.70 from Asda! Swim and bike tomorrow now... Pies rule! Do you fancy the Big Sow Maths? That sounds bizarre and a little 'animal farm'

What if we get some rope and some rollerscates? We could get her to pull us both around and tell her it's good for cross training?
Did you try it with waving bottle of wine at the end of a fishing rod? It's worked for me in the past.
you didn't try hard enough ST

keep training and don't eat too many pies and you'll keep the weight off
