Who's running in URWFRC or other colours? Murf are you, I have a vague memory that you are running in your club colours instead? (I should be running in Serpie colours, but I haven't bought a vest top yet, oops.)

I haven't, looks like we will have to collect them on the day, although it is a little worrying?.

I have not, but did not send of the form until Friday being very unorganised. Will see if arrives in the next day or two.

I've amended my time again, to 1:24:00, I don't like feeling under pressure! It's still faster than my original target.

Hi Colin, and everyone else - I send the form off at the end of last week and have not heard back - is there a way we can check to see if they have been received?
  • Options
Oh dear - last training run this morning (only 25 mins steady) helped by neither the cold I seem to be coming down with, nor the six pints of Stella I dranks whilst watching the football last night!

Hope everyone elses preparation is going better - and best of luck for Sunday!

David, I've got a sore throat and I think it's either a cold starting (I really hope not) or tonsiliitis (I'd rather). So I hope I'm ok for Sunday as I feel a PB is possible.

I meant to do 5 miles tempo last night but ended up doing 5K at race pace, but was still happy as I narrowly missed beating my PB by 5 seconds and I had started out slower.

Fingers crossed we're all well for Sunday!

    Caz.

Caz - Hope you feel better by Sunday too - my cold started with a bit of a dodgy throat too! Sounds like you prep has gone well, and no doubt you'll be coasting past me on Sunday!

I managed to get in a 40 min hill sprinting session & catch the 2nd half of the footie, happy days!!. Touch Wood I'm feelin Flu Free.
  • Options
David, I think as you are a sub 1:20:00 target, I shalln't be coasting past you, maybe tailgating you though!

Bootie, 40 min hill sprinting session, you make me feel tired!

Jonathan - I also decided very late to do this one and sent in an entry on Friday. Given CP's post above I'm going to assume I'm in but will get there early just to make sure (on the assumption that I can get an on the day entry if they don't have one ready for me).

Caz - please add me to the list, trying to discpline myself to run even 9's for 1:30, but might end up keeping Romford company again. Also received my URWFRC vest from out of the blue last night (thanks DW) so will be in club kit.

Is this anyone else's last "long" run before Dublin? Or NY?

Are we meeting @ the CP Pub???

SuperD , enjoyed last week's run , will be looking to beat my previous 10 PB , which is posted above , looking @ 1:25.

    RR,

Spans suggested meeting at the CP for 9 then onto McD's for 8.45.

Anyone have any thoughts on this?
  • Options
9 o'clock @ the CP it is then.
Is McD's near the start then?

Anyone else getting the train from London for this one? If so, do you want to meet at Waterloo?

Haven't checked times out yet, but I think they run fairly frequently and it's only about 30 mins to Twickenham.

    Venom

got some times from the railtrack site yesterday.

    Waterloo Twickers
    817 846
    832 854
    847 916
    912 946

I'm aiming for the 847 service, depending upon the engineering on the line into Waterloo. I'll watch out for someone who looks like your picture & you do likewise.
