Very poor communication regarding opening time for this ballot. Why don't the organisers have concern for people left glued to the VLM marathon website facing having to get for work later this morning?
Yeah, we've crashed it, or they've broken it. Jesus, LM you have two jobs: Open the ballot end of April, bring out the street markers beginning of April. Seriously, this is not a hard job - they do it every year!!
Interestingly, my overseas friend who is in Canada managed to get hers in.
I suppose the unhelpful lack of information stems from the very popularity of the event. They simply don't need to make an effort, because enough will apply, come what may. I don't think it is conducted in the spirit of this great sport, though.
At least it was more fun when we used to have to drive up to London to catch the earliest post mark or queue, in shifts, for three days, to be first in line at a designated post office. We parked outside Hemel Hempstead Post Office with a gaz stove and soup. Great fun to see the expressions on the faces of those who turned up at 3am on the Saturday ~ thinking they'd beaten the system ~ only to find the queue half way round the building . . . .
I have managed to enter too Yayyyyyyyyyyyyy ...well I think so.....tooooooooo sleepy...got a ref number so must have....I thought they took payment details at this stage?????? but didn't
In at last second attempt after crash. Now bed for a few hours before work. Why didn't they open it midnight yesterday when more people had the day off.
Well comparing the numbers, that was 10,000 applications in 20 minutes. So you can guess that this'll be shut by the end of the day tomorrow, without a doubt.
mine crashed at payment stage and then got error but now have e-mail from payment trust with ref no and message "Transaction processed with merchant London Marathon." assumed all ok - have others got the same e-mail/message? thanks
Bugger - now got two emails from 'info@realbuzz.com' saying 'congratulations on entering the ballot' - even though I only got one confirmation page with number from their website. I had to press 'submit' twice to get it to go through (or else I was just impatient). That probably renders both of them null and void, but can't re-enter as that will definitely wipe it out.

All done 7th time lucky.
Just to say that I've managed in the last 2 mins to successfully enter the ballot, so persevere. Frustrating none the less.

Yep, straight through the system for me with no crashing. I can now forget about it until ooctober.
yeah, it's back together now, if you want in, it's up for grabs
done.
Done - only entered on the off chance of being successful so I can say I've done it. Will do others if not...

Couldn't sleep so tried again and got in at second attempt. All done. Roll on October!
Does it take payment from your account instantly? Does it take payment regardless of whether you are successful?

Caballo, I wasn't asked to pay?? Is this about donating entry fee?? I didn't do that. Bed!
