Well good luck everyone enjoy the race and hope everyone does themselves proud.
I would like to thank everyone in this thread new and old for there comments and motivation.
For myselfI have a goal of completing the race, next goal is in under 5 hours and then anything else is a bonus. I have a lot of support on the course and my kids have made banners for me ready for when I get into timperley village. Give them a high 5 if you see them, they will be just over the bridge in timperley.
Ian - if you look at the race village picture it's right at the back (if old Trafford is behind you) on the left after the baggage tent. If u can't find the pic from a few pages ago give me a shout and ill jump on my laptop and upload the pic again.
Bad news about the trams, that would make the spectating difficult and make it a bit of a pain getting there
Still hoping Metrolink will be able to sort something out overnight. They are one of the main sponsers of the marathon so im sure they will be doing everything they can to get things up and running. i think i'd have to get a lift if the metros are off, i cant be arsed getting a replacement bus as half the roads are closed and we will probably end up having to walk miles.
Been quite stressed last 24 hours as every niggle I have had over last 3 months seems to be saying hello again ! My hip especially is proving to be a nitemare as was at times uncomfortable just walking about yesterday.
Decided going to get to race village early I try and get a massage just to loosen my legs up just so it doesn't play on my mind. Really looking forward but as its my first full of so much self doubt.
Last couple hours Been reviewing my good and bad runs 14 miles + over last 3 months ... Pretty obvious stuff just need to go steady at beginning and I should get to 20 miles !!! If I get there in 3 hours I am happy then whatever my end time is I will be happy.
My number is 1547 and will have black Adidas shirt on. Will probably be spending most time queuing at the loos pre race !!! May see some of you target 4 hour runners at start or during
Rubbish nights sleep stressing about the metro. Husband caved and bought a carpark pass for OT. Worried we won't get through from Alty even if we leave at 7ish as we don't know the city particularly well.
Do I risk it or stick with the original plan?!
Our 8 year old is up and bouncing all over the place - she'll be a NIGHTMARE come 2pm this afternoon.
Well I reckon I slept a total 1 hour tops, sleep is overrated anyway, bring it on.1 good thing about lack of sleep is the extra fruit juice I guzzled during the night.
Does anyone know if you can pay on the gate parking,I tried to buy pass last night but site wasn't working
i saw on twitter i think that they had spaces left and were selling them today to anyone that turned up. I dont think it was an official post though, i think it was something someone was told when they phoned.
Morning all, hope everyone smashes it today and you all eclipse your targets.
Don't worry about lack of sleep... Adrenaline will help overcome that. You'll just be really, really, really tired later that's all. Understatement I know.
Doesn't matter if it's your first, 5th (in my case) or 50th marathon... Nerves are good. I'm shitting it too having last run the distance in 2010. Good luck everyone.
Good luck to you too SJ, hope you nail another sub 3
Im about to log off and go get changed and set off at 7:05 for the 7:15 tram. i wish everyone the best for today and hope to see some some happy race reports later. This thread has been excellent so thank you to everyone who has contributed

Go and get a hot bath/shower.
Start warming your muscles/body up.
Decided in meantime 2 try out some deep heat ... Forgot from football days to be careful when going up 2 top of legs - Jesus Christ it burns !
