Ive given up on Fit2Run Advanced and have started the Great2Run DVD - I did have to give an address in Scotland to get it though! When I tried to order from the Newcastle College they sent me an order form for the 2nd bit of AdvF2R. The Dvd is good - not the same as the workbooks so far and you can go for Gold, Silver or Bronze depending on how much work you want to do. I also prefer wordprocessing to my best handwriting or cutting up bits of paper to stick in the workbooks. Will let you know how I get on.
I am having a bit of a mental block where question 1.13 in unit4 I know that an immediate response for exercise is increased oxygen/blood flow et.c
How would I differentiate between the 4 sports given other than the ventilation volumes? I know that 2 use aerobic and 2 use anerobic systems but am not too sure which way to set the answers to this ..
RFJ I am presuming it is the initial response of the breathing systems ??? just unsure how to progress with it ... I expect it is following suit with all the previous Q&A's in as much that there is not a great deal of difference in the answers!!
having just finished the first Fit 2 run course i was wondering how you apply for the next stage? Do they automatically send it out or do you have to apply directly?
If its the breathing systems as the initial response then they would all be the same.... or am I missing the point, I think it must be all the systems but like you Medly am not sure of the start point
(Nothing to do with this thread - Medly, are you in the support team for team 7, thanks........ in advance)
tow of the sports are aerobic and two are anaerobic and therefore will use air differently ... thats the only difference I can see but I dont see how I can stretch the point !
Ali - definately not A Level, maybe just about GCSE level I would have said.
I know the feeling EP - It seams to have been going on for years and I've lost track of how many books I have or haven;t done. I think it might be the worlds slowest course!
I put some random waffle down but can't really remember what....
I have been following this thread for some time as I have done both Fit2Run courses. I thought I'd finished the BTEC only to recerive my feedback for "The Body In Sport" section, AND an enrolment form for part 3 which is Sports injuries.
Maybe the fact that Sports Injuries is labelled Part 1 even though I seem to be completing it last has something to do with it?
Wouldn't it be great if we had some kind of course schedule stating exactly what had to be completed and how long it would take. Please let me not still be doing this course when I'm 80!!
Now this is strange letter says I've finished BTEC and awaiting certificate. Enrolment form says it's part 3 of the BTEC, and I know I haven't done it. So which is right??
Comments
The prep cert thingy was 1 unit of 2 books
Thus overall this seems to fit the 4 units idea....
I think the last unit was unit 2 as I remember thinking it was strange to do them out of order but can't remember the topics....
I have completed
Fit2run Certificate in Exercise & Fitness workbook 1 : Fit for Running
workbook 2 : The Running Programme
then
Fit2Run Advanced BTEC First Certificate in Sport Unit 3:
Unit 3 Workbook 1 Running for Fitness
Unit 3 Workbook 2 Preparation for Sport
But instead it was pt1 again
Anyone else had this ?

I shall sulk.
stuck on same as Medly assess log book 2 in assossation with workbook two of unit 4
Like medly, what are they after here, the intital response made in muscular and skelital movemnets or what.....
I expect it is following suit with all the previous Q&A's in as much that there is not a great deal of difference in the answers!!
Cheers

Just found this thread - I guess it must be the same sort of things in the course?
I think I remember reading its equal to 2 GCSEs?
Now just have to wait the 4 months for a certificate.

Well my letter said I have finished but I don't remember doing the injuries book - ho humm!
Sports Injuries the last one.........I hope!
