Maddy - let me think about Brum. I'm about to go away for a week, so perhaps we can sort something out when I get back. I have another reason to go to Birmingham on Sat 24th Nov, so I could kill two birds.... We need an indoors where we can talk and an outdoors where we can run - a track would be great though not vital.
I've just started learning Chi running from the book (been out 4 times now) and live in Hackney, London. I'd be interested in receiving instruction althoug please PM me as I should let you know a bit about my personal circumstances (healthwise I mean).
Eva et al - I work at Warwick Uni for the sports department so apart form track entry fee I could probably get the free use of a teaching room provided it is free - next to the track - so its Cov not brum
Donna - there's a fledgling instructor lives in Hammersmith (or thereabouts), called Michell. You may find her on the Chi thread on Fetch, or I could let you have her email addy if you wish.
ChiRunning workshops in the UK are still pretty rare, but there's going to be one in Ilkley, Yorkshire on 15th March, run by two qualified ChiRunning instructors. Have a look at www.revolutionaryrunning.co.uk .
BTW I've got no connection with or commercial interest in this event, just thought forumites might be interested.
As it happens I'm organising a one day ChiRunning Workshop in Bournemouth on Saturday 19th April.
It's being lead by the 1998 London Marathon Winner, four times silver medallist at the World Coss Country Championships and Master ChiRunning Instructor Catherina McKiernan (runcatherina.com)
Catherina is committed to making sure that all participants have a good understanding of the ChiRunning technique by the end of the workshop. She also provides a video analysis of everyones running form and a personalised strategy for working towards effortless and injury free running.
The price is £99 and there are a few spaces still available - please get in touch if you require more information.
i Have started Chi Running and have noticed that my legs do feel better after a run however, during the run my H/R is a lot higher than normal although my Perspective effort level seems lower , Is this normal when begining Chi running
