he saw the state of me last year
seriously i dont think im fit enough/fast enough to catch up when i slow on the downhills
the longest stop i had was 15 minutes at mile 18-and i was still way outside the cutoff

I had a big cheese roll im my rucksack and i could have had a bacon buttie with my gin at mile 23
But i was too distraught to eat

I would love to do Beachy head but i do have to work some weekends
amd doing cardiff and abingdon maras though
I am a bit tempted by this, though I've not done anything above a half-mara running-wise. I have done lots of long distance walking though, particularly the Cleveland Way and Coast to Coast and I think this route shares quite a bit with both, particularly the C2C? Sounds good for a run/walk with a lightish pack.
Hmmm. Now I think about it I got lost doing the C2C in the NYMoors in a couple of places.
And I would need a VAST amount of food to get me across.

mc goohan-if you can long distance walk at a decent speed you should be ok
I am thinking of doing this still as mentioned by email, although it rests on transportation back to osmotherly.
Anyone who is bordering on doing this event should do it - loved it last year eveb though I pulled out
(and no it wasnt because of Bryans's bacon sandwiches or PL's stash of Gin!)
You get to the finish and we'll find some way of getting you back to Ossy.

So... Cardiff 9th October, Abingdon 16th October, Beachy Head 29th October. You just need to work the weekends of the 1st and 22nd and that's October sorted!
