At what point did I see you? Can't really recall but I had a decent first half which basically went metaphorially downhill in the second. I'd been ill though (that old excuse trots out again!) and I was struggling with my breathing (aswell as blisters and general knackeredness). Finished about 4.15. Gutted as I was on for a sub 4. Going to attempt to redeem myself in Luton.
Well, I think we passed each other around the 9 mile mark.
I was going well up until the 21 mile marker when it went a little wrong.
I struggled from there on, but, I managed to stop the pace dropping below 10 min/miles. I finihed in 3:49, however, before 21 I was looking at a sub-3:30. Oh well. Next for me its London
I suppose the race photo companies have done their homework but I can't help feeling that if they let you have all your photos for a tenner then most people would probably buy them? 75 euros for all your photos - they're definitely having a laugh!
I agree, and I think they ought to make it slightly cheaper if you buy a few - there's three I want, but that would be 45 euros! I'd happily pay 15 for one, 25 for two, 30 odd for three.....
as it is, will probably be so undecided about which one to buy, that I won't end up buying any!
9141 ... pic at start with fist in air full of gusto (and an obvious amount of ignorance of what was ahead). I stumbled over the line stopping as I hit it (no need to run more than you have to!!
Chas - I think I spoke to you in the life at the hotel (I'm determined to have spoken/seen to someone from here) Had you previously done Belfast and New York?
Pam have you seen this one - its on the site of the ones who did the news photos
Did you also get any of the newspapers you were in - you in the irish time and the irish sun? If you didnt let me know as my irish aunts both recycle and may have the newspaper
Hello everybody - I ran/jogged Dublin in 4hrs 7 mins. I wanted to beat 4hrs, but am happy with my time.
I think after 16 marathons I know a bit about them, but I 've never beaten 4hrs, but they're still very tough and I hope to find the secret of staying strong and having the will power of driving the tired body on for that last hour.

You seemed rather worried at that point so I decided not to hang around. <G>.
How about you?
Think I might have to actually buy some of those though, there are two or three which I really like! If only they were cheaper!

The photos of John and I (my number 100) are great but I can't possibly afford any.
Did anyone take any photos of us finishing?

That's why I intend doing a good few more.
