JJ It must have been a good Canterbury Tale, I stayed awake.
Spud. If you didn't get rid of your shrew, you probably have 6 baby ones as well this morning. We have trouble in the autumn with field mice coming indoors looking for somewhere to hibernate. I use rolos on a mousetrap.
Benz. when is your next race?, you haven't done one for 5 days :-))
Bullfinch There isnt a race i can enter, Im on call this weekend, otherwise id have seriously contemplated Kenilworth my cold is better I think cant say the same for my mood Sorry
Havent been around much the last couple of days, I've been basically working, eating and sleeping, due to a very heavy work-load yesterday - back to the land of the living
I havent been able to keep up with the thread, however
JJ - hope the knee is feeling much better, see you tonight for a swift few halves of, well for me it'll probably have to be diet coke
Maggie - I'm not going to do Bleinham Palace due to lack of training, the leg is much beter though now, so I'm just starting to run again
Good luck all those that are racig this week-end, and hello to BF, Pammie, Pussy, Spud, Impey, Ceal if you read this, Hips, and anybody I have missed in my hurry to post this before I dash off to work
er ordinary coke, cant drink JJ, logistics of working in Winchester, living in Southampton, means I have to drive to Southampton, straight from work, then catch a train
morning Spud. That's nice. Glad the problem solved itself. It must be shrew migration season or something. I've seen 2 dead ones in the past 10 days. JJ
Ran this morning 2.6 miles in 27:30, my legs are definitely feeling a bit heavy but they will have to coopertae on Sunday as i am starting to think that 60 mins is a possibility, providing there are not too many hills, my practise route is flat so haven't done any of those!
JJ & DDP have a drink for me tonight please (definitely not coke!)
BF I am sure that riding EBF uses lots of muscles, it sounds like a dream come true. Are you getting him racing fit witha particular race in mind?
Hippo sorry that you are feeling down, being on call must be a bit of a b*mmer!
We are at 5900, can we get to 6000 before Ceal comes home.
Maggie. We are hoping to get to cheltenham for the evening Hunter Chase Meeting in April, but I hope he has 4/5/6 races before that. Point to points and then Hunter chases if he is good enough.
Sorry, have lost the thread of this thread - if you see what I mean. Miss a couple of days and I feel I have been off the planet when I read your chatter! Beware of the `humane' mousey traps, Spud. They suggest you check them every six hours - not feasible at night! But I caught one in mine and it still died becuse if they stay there too long they seem to overheat. One of you lot has given me the sniffles. Own up, please. You may well have stopped me doing my 10k in a couple of weeks. I'll see how soon I can get back to serious running. Still trying to buy a winter running top. Aldi have an iteresting ad. in RW - but we don't have an Aldi in the county.
Thank you Pussy. I did not know the trap has to be checked so often. I put it away so the shrew can roam around in peace. She was here again tonight. Sooo cute.

Glad the cold's improving Benzy. If you can find a race you can usually enter on the day.
DDP
Don't even suggest diet coke.
JJ
Finish the tale of the shrew. What happened to it?
Shakespeare was good with shrews as I remember.
JJ
phew, I'll be worn out by the time I get there
Morning all. Don't w*rk too hard - it is Friday.
Bullfinch
JJ, she disappeared. I hope whe is well and happy. She is soooo cute!
Hippo, I did not know they bite. I put a humane mousetrap ( it doesn't not kill the animal) with peanut butter to catch her but she did not go there.

I think perhaps we should save the 6000th posting for Ceal!
Did you mean 'on' instead of 'for'?
JJ
Have you all gone to the social already?
I have had my 4th riding lesson.I jumped a round of very small cross country fences and then did 3 canters in the racing style (short stirrups).
Have a nice evening.
Bullfinch
All sounds highly professional. Is your weight down to 8st. yet?
Off to shower and get to London for a couple of hours at the social. May post later if I can find the keyboard.
JJ
Give my regards to all the maturites tonight.

Trying to get this in before Ceal gets back!
I wear my 'sorry you're rejected London Marathon' fleece over an ordinary vest, and thermal gloves. It's only my nose that gets cold.
I love running in the winter. It's the summer I have problems with.
