Oh Impey, you look so lovely and fit. (I don't believe. Another one with great legs!)
Spider is a wash and go type of dog. his hair is very short and dries in 5 minutes. Ceal, I have to go in with him or he runs away throught the shower door gap.
Strange... i was going through the TV channels to try and find something about NY marathon and saw a programme called "Cheerleading Competition" I thought about JJ straightaway
ceal Annoying that the pain kicked in again I wonder if you've been able to 'fix' it. You must be pleased by the week's mileage total. All things considered it's a satisfying amount surely?
JJ 3.5 minutes is a lot to chip away from a 5 and a bit course. Well done. Perhaps we could send the boys round to see to that annoying Other Bloke who was 1st V60.
I have just finished my 5 mile recovery run. I'm assuming it was the right thing to do. I managed not to panic about the 11 minute plus pace of much of it. I now have to carefully plan the next four weeks which includes the Brighton 10k, a four day trip to Paris, a week and a half in Hastings, a load of work I've been neglecting... and some Mum stuff with our kid.
It is almost impossible for me to win the handicap league. I have moved up to third place (I was 4th before) but the bloke who is now 1st is in a very strong position. He is a very good runner and keeps getting PBs and points for good positions. I will be further nobbled next time for coming second. Doesn't mean it's any harder to get a PB - but it's harder to get a position, because you have an extra time handicap. Clear as mud?
If I get another PB and somehow manage to run brilliantly (unlikely) I could conceivably be runner up. But it doesn't just depend on me. Obviously. Also the bloke who is now 4th is ANOTHER steadily improving strong contender...
BAH!
Anyway I got a nice silver medal yesterday.
Well. I got a medal. It's not really silver and it's debatable whether it's very nice. :-)
I will now shut up about the wretched handicap. Obsessed? Moi?
Short and gentle run this morning - 3.3ish miles in 35ish minutes. Breathing easy legs fine but knees creaked a bit after standing all day at work. 1.5 mile walk to work as well.
Sharkie, Chouetts My age grading's similar for 10k - 64.8 at best. Haven't tried punching in my marathon time yet.
Pammie I couldn't find your report. :-( Lovely workmates you have!
Tracey Good run! You should be well pleased with that.
Impey Great pics. I'll just echo what the other ladies have said. You do look as though you're just starting rather than finishing, though.
ceal Hope you've managed to stretch the pain away.
JJ I love running whenever I'm away. I like to get up v.early and watch the place wake up - Paris, Bologna, Rome, Nice, New York and Venice are some of the cities I've been out in before breakfast.... you get a real feel for the place.

Pics of old man almost finished !
You look GREAT!
Old man is a complete misnomer.
xx sharkie
You look in great shape. Old you might be, but you have a great body.

Impey
you look very relaxed when you run, as it should be of course. A great set of photo's. It looked a nice day too.

I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when Spider was being showered!

pleased to hear that Darrell didn't get injured in the process of getting beaten.
Enjoyed the Rugby Match even though we didn't get the result that we wanted.
Spud,
I am sorry but Sams pics were sent to you last night, yet you don't seem to have received them. They will be re-sent this evening.

With about seven seconds to spare - good pacing or a near miss?
Pammie
Thanks for mail. Lovely to read your report. Very emotional. I do think a first marathon is very difficult whatever the training's been like.
Good night, folks!
Impey, I haven't received the photos. (
Did I miss that Tracey was racing today?
Ceal, LOL!!!
Sharkie, why do you have to compete with a bloke for the place? You should have to race just with the women.
JJ, another well done to you!!!
I do not have the cheerleader outfit.
*off to Walmart to check their stock of cheerleader outfits.*
No more races for me until Thanet 10, might do Serpies race.
What have you been up to today?
Spud
I did Billericay 10k in 1:00:53 by my watch.
Impey you look great

Makes up for all those character building camping holidays in North Wales that I so unfondly remember from my youth.
dont take this the wrong way
but i wish i was maried to you
That's it exactly! I can't resist those groaning tables - when hotel breakfasts are good they're really good.
And basically I am a greedy pig.
I want to know what you mean Hipslinger!
hm
then I will rescind
i just liked the thought of someone else understanding the early morning run
I am never going to compete in the grand swanky globe trotting stakes...
... perhaps I will try for the most downmarket, scummiest place to run.
Dalston?
Moss Side?
Sharki the ASBO kid

Or is it just West Brum?
That's Brom.
